How to use Inferno Ring
Inferno Ring makes the fire ring much stronger and adds a long-range attack.
- Fire ring: 8 damage (+4 to MOAB-class), 45 pierce, range 34.5 and a burst every 0.1 seconds, more than three times faster than Ring of Fire.
- Meteor: every 4 seconds it launches a fireball that seeks any target on screen, ignores other bloons on the way, deals 700 damage to its target (1,000 with Even More Tacks) and leaves a burning explosion when it expires, unless it hits a purple bloon.
The ring and meteor are fire damage, so they cannot pop purple bloons. The explosion is explosion damage.
When to buy it
Inferno Ring is a tough save for an average late-game win condition that needs a lot of support. Set its targeting to Strong so the meteor hits the toughest targets. Useful support:
- Pierce buffs such as Primary Training and Berserker Brew, so the meteor and ring do more.
- Overclock, which helps it pop bloons before they leave its range and speeds up the meteor.
- Gwendolin, the best hero thanks to her attack speed buffs.
5-0-2 is the better crosspath when you can buff its pierce, while 5-2-0 is better when you cannot, because it adds pierce and range on its own.
Is it worth it?
It is a solid but not top-tier tier 5. It costs more than most primary tier 5s and leaks ceramics and DDTs without help. Compared with Super Maelstrom it is a far better constant damage tower, and compared with The Tack Zone it covers a wider area but needs more support. In CHIMPS it can work as one part of a late-game defense, while in Boss Events the meteor gives steady single-target damage but rarely enough on its own.
