Rapid Razors

Rapid Razors is a third-row Military knowledge that shortens the cooldown of the Heli Pilot's Razor Rotors attack, so the spinning rotor blades hit bloons more often. You need 4 Knowledge Points in the Military tree and Airforce Upgrades. It costs one point, no Monkey Money, and unlocks Charged Chinooks.

The in-game text simply says "Razor Rotors pop Bloons faster". The rotor attack's cooldown has been adjusted in several updates (including version 37), but the knowledge has always been a straight attack speed boost for that one attack.

How it changes the game

Razor Rotors (3-x-x Heli Pilot) adds a close-range blade attack around the helicopter that shreds bloons it flies over. A faster rotor means:

• Better clean-up: the Heli catches more of the small bloons that slip past its darts, especially in dense groups.
• Stronger 3-x-2 crosspaths: Faster Darts and Faster Firing already speed up the Heli, and Rapid Razors makes the rotor keep pace.
• Mobile defense: with Pursuit or a lock-in-place position, a Razor Rotors Heli can sit over a choke point where the faster rotor matters most.

Only the rotor attack is affected. The Heli's darts, missiles and abilities fire at their normal rate, and Helis without Razor Rotors gain nothing.

Is it worth it?

Priority: good, mainly as a gateway. Razor Rotors is the cheapest tier 3 Heli, so players who use top-path Helis in Races or as a mobile clean-up tower get real value. For everyone else, the reason to buy it is the chain below: Charged Chinooks, then Door Gunner, which is required for Advanced Logistics. Since Advanced Logistics makes every Military tower 5% cheaper, Rapid Razors ends up on almost every account.

Compared with its sibling Accelerated Aerodarts, the direct effect is a bit more noticeable for Heli players, while Accelerated Aerodarts helps Aces. Both lead toward Advanced Logistics.

Because Razor Rotors only hits bloons close to the Heli, positioning matters: the faster rotor is worth most when the Heli hovers right over a busy section of track.

Rapid Razors is active wherever Monkey Knowledge is enabled: Standard, Impoppable, Military Only, Races and Boss Events. It is disabled in CHIMPS and in challenges that switch knowledge off.
