Support tower
Monkey Village
Hub of Monkey industry, has a number of different benefits to aid all of your Monkeys. Increases range of all Monkeys in its radius by 10%.
Info
The Monkey Village is a Support tower that does not attack. Instead it buffs every tower in its radius. It costs $1,200 on Medium, and even the base Village gives nearby towers 10% more range. Its upgrades add some of the most important buffs in the game: attack speed, Camo detection, the ability to pop any Bloon type, discounts and extra income.
Because it has no attack of its own (until Primary Expertise), the Village has no damage type and no popping limits. What matters is what it gives to the towers around it.
The three paths
- Top path (Bigger Radius to Primary Expertise): Bigger Radius increases the Village's radius, Jungle Drums makes every tower in range attack faster, Primary Training gives Primary Monkeys extra pierce, range and projectile speed, Primary Mentoring gives Primary Monkeys free tier 1 upgrades and shorter ability cooldowns, and Primary Expertise gives free tier 2 upgrades, more pierce and adds a Mega Ballista attack to the Village.
- Middle path (Grow Blocker to Homeland Defense): Grow Blocker stops Regrow Bloons from regrowing in its radius, Radar Scanner gives every tower in range Camo detection, Monkey Intelligence Bureau makes every tower in range deal Normal damage so they can pop any Bloon type, Call to Arms adds an ability that boosts the pierce and attack speed of every tower on screen for 15 seconds, and Homeland Defense doubles that boost and makes it last longer.
- Bottom path (Monkey Business to Monkeyopolis): Monkey Business and Monkey Commerce make towers and upgrades (up to tier 3) placed in range cheaper, Monkey Town increases cash per pop from towers in range, Monkey City increases income from income towers in range and gives a free Dart Monkey every round, and Monkeyopolis absorbs nearby Banana Farms and turns their value into income.
Camo and Lead coverage it gives
- Camo: Radar Scanner (x-2-x) gives Camo detection to every tower in range. This is the most common Camo answer in the game.
- Lead, Black, Purple and other immunities: Monkey Intelligence Bureau (x-3-x) lets every tower in range pop every Bloon type.
Paragon
The Monkey Village has no Paragon.

How to use Monkey Village
The Monkey Village is the most common support tower in Bloons TD 6. A single 2-2-0 Village fixes two of the biggest problems in any defense, attack speed and Camo, for every tower in its radius. The key is to build your main towers close together so one Village covers them all.
Best crosspaths
2-2-0 Jungle Drums and Radar Scanner
The classic Village. Jungle Drums makes every tower in range attack faster, and Radar Scanner gives them all Camo detection. If you only build one Village in a game, it is usually this one.
0-2-2 Radar Scanner and discounts
Radar Scanner plus Monkey Business and Monkey Commerce. Towers and upgrades up to tier 3 placed in range are cheaper, and everything sees Camo. A good choice when you are about to build several towers in the same spot.
2-3-0 or 0-3-2 Monkey Intelligence Bureau
Monkey Intelligence Bureau makes every tower in range deal Normal damage, so Sharp towers can pop Lead and Frozen Bloons, explosive towers can pop Black Bloons, and fire and energy towers can pop Purple Bloons. It fixes almost every damage type problem at once.
2-4-0 or 0-4-2 Call to Arms
Call to Arms' ability boosts the pierce and attack speed of every tower on screen by 50% for 15 seconds. Use it for the hardest moments of a round. It stacks well with other ability-based burst.
3-2-0 or 4-2-0 Primary Training and Mentoring
These upgrades only buff Primary Monkeys, but the buffs are strong: extra pierce, range and projectile speed, then free tier 1 upgrades and shorter ability cooldowns. Great for strategies built on Dart Monkeys, Boomerangs, Tack Shooters, Bomb Shooters, Ice Monkeys, Glue Gunners or Desperados.
2-0-4 Monkey City and 0-0-5 Monkeyopolis
In income modes, Monkey City boosts the income of farms and other income towers in range by 20%, and Monkeyopolis absorbs nearby farms to free up space while keeping their value as income.
Early game
A Village costs $1,200, so it is not an early purchase in most games. In CHIMPS, the first Village usually appears in the 20s or 30s, once you have two or more towers worth buffing in the same area.
Plan placement from the start. Build your main towers close together so a future Village can reach all of them. Bigger Radius (1-x-x) helps if they are spread out.
Mid game
The mid game is when a Village pays off:
- Camo: if your main towers cannot see Camo, a Radar Scanner is often cheaper than upgrading each of them for Camo.
- Attack speed: Jungle Drums is one of the best value damage buffs in the game.
- Discounts: a 0-0-2 Village placed before you build an expensive tower saves money on every tier 1 to 3 upgrade in range.
- Damage types: Monkey Intelligence Bureau lets towers pop Bloon types they normally cannot.
Village placement
A Village buffs towers based on where the tower's base is, so a tower counts as "in range" if its footprint overlaps the Village radius. For Monkey Aces and Heli Pilots, that means the runway or helipad, not the plane itself. Place the Village in the middle of your main cluster, and check the radius circle before you buy upgrades.
One Village or several?
A single Village with a large radius is efficient when your towers are packed together. On multi-lane maps where your defense is split, two cheaper 2-2-0 or 0-2-0 Villages often give more value than one expensive Village that only covers half of your towers. Monkey Commerce discounts also stack between Villages, which makes a second discount Village worth considering before a big spending round.
Late game
Late-game Villages are about bursts and scale:
- Call to Arms and Homeland Defense: boost every tower on screen at once. Homeland Defense gives +100% pierce and attack speed for 20 seconds.
- Primary Expertise: a strong buff for Primary-heavy defenses and a Mega Ballista attack of its own.
- Several Villages: for big defenses spread over the map, two or three cheap 2-2-0 Villages often beat one expensive one.
Monkey Village in CHIMPS
The Village is in almost every CHIMPS game:
- Build your main towers close together.
- Add a 0-2-2 or 2-2-0 Village when you need Camo or extra attack speed, usually in the 20s or 30s.
- Add Monkey Intelligence Bureau if your damage cannot handle Lead, Black or Purple Bloons.
- In the late game, Call to Arms and Homeland Defense give you a strong burst for the hardest rounds.

Best heroes and tower combos
- Any main carry: Jungle Drums and Radar Scanner benefit every tower.
- Primary Monkeys: the top path is built for them.
- Adora: pairs well with Call to Arms and Radar Scanner.
- Banana Farms: Monkey City and Monkeyopolis boost and absorb farms in income modes.
Tier 5 upgrades: are they worth it?
Primary Expertise (5-x-x). Worth it in Primary-heavy setups; otherwise its buffs are wasted.
Homeland Defense (x-5-x). One of the best late-game burst buffs, because it affects every tower on screen.
Monkeyopolis (x-x-5). Only for income modes. It frees up space and keeps your farm value working.
Common mistakes
- Spreading towers too far apart. One Village should cover your main towers.
- Forgetting that buffs depend on the tower's base position. Check runways and helipads for Aces and Helis.
- Building the discount Village after the expensive towers. Discounts only apply to towers and upgrades bought while in range.
- Paying for Camo on every tower separately. A Radar Scanner is often cheaper.
