Guide

Round 1 is the gentlest round in Bloons TD 6: twenty Red Bloons trickle down the track over roughly 17 seconds. Each Red Bloon has a single layer, so any tower that can reach the path will clear it. You only see this round on Easy and Medium. Hard and the ABR mode begin at round 3, while Impoppable and CHIMPS start at round 6.

The real purpose of round 1 is setup. What you buy now decides how fast your economy snowballs over the next ten rounds, so spend the starting cash on towers you will keep upgrading rather than on throwaway picks.

Bloons in round 1

  • 20 × Red Bloon (0.0s–17.5s)

Total: 20 bloons worth 20 RBE. Popping everything pays $20, plus the $101 end-of-round bonus.

How to beat round 1

One Dart Monkey placed near the start of the track is enough on its own. Most players prefer to place their hero immediately as well, because heroes level up from the start of the game and an early hero carries the first 20 rounds on almost every map.

  • Put your first tower where the track loops or doubles back, so a single monkey covers two stretches of path.
  • If you plan to farm on Easy or Medium, a cheap Dart Monkey plus your hero leaves room for an early Banana Farm by round 3 or 4.
  • Save upgrades that only add range or pierce until round 4 or 5, when bloons start to come in denser groups.

There is nothing that can leak here unless you place nothing at all, so treat it as a free round to plan your layout.

Alternate Bloons Rounds

In Alternate Bloons Rounds rounds 1 and 2 are skipped in normal play, because ABR is played on Hard and Hard starts at round 3. The alternate version of round 1 still exists in the data and only shows up in custom games such as the Challenge Editor.
