Healthy Bananas

Healthy Bananas makes every Marketplace (0-0-3 Banana Farm) give you 1 life at the end of each round, and every Central Market (0-0-4) give 3 lives per round. It is a fifth-row Support knowledge: you need 8 points in Support and Inland Revenue Streams, plus a one-time fee of 500 Monkey Money. Monkey Wall Street (0-0-5) already makes its own lives and is not affected.

How it changes the game

Lives are normally hard to get back. The usual options are expensive upgrades such as Support Chinook or Spirit of the Forest, or abilities you have to activate. Healthy Bananas turns a farm you were building anyway into a steady life generator. Five Marketplaces give 5 lives every round; three Central Markets give 9.

That changes how much risk you can take:

• Early leaks stop hurting. On Hard, where you start with 100 lives, a few early leaks are refunded within a handful of rounds if you have Marketplaces.
• Impoppable. You start with only 1 life there, so leaking at all means losing. Healthy Bananas lets you bank extra lives over time, which gives you a buffer for the late rounds.
• Boss Events. Many bosses drain lives or punish leaks. The Lych boss in particular steals lives, and the elite version can drain them very quickly. A few Marketplaces or Central Markets can double your life total over a long game and keep you alive.
• Odyssey. Lives carry between maps in an Odyssey, so farming lives back before you finish a map protects the next one.

The knowledge needs an investment in the bottom path of the Banana Farm, so it does little in the first rounds. From the mid game on, it quietly adds up.

Is it worth it?

Priority: must-have. Free life regeneration from towers that also make money is one of the most practical bonuses in the whole Monkey Knowledge system. It is especially valuable for Impoppable players, because Mana Shield from the Magic tree does not work on Impoppable.

Among the fifth-row Support knowledge, it sits next to Better Sell Deals and Veteran Monkey Training. Farm players and Boss Event players should get it early; it is the main reason to buy Farm Subsidy and Inland Revenue Streams at all.

Where it works

Healthy Bananas works in all modes with Monkey Knowledge on, including Impoppable, Boss Events and most Odysseys. In CHIMPS, MK, income and life gain are all disabled. Challenges with MK switched off and Rogue Legends do not use it.
