Trophy Store

The BTD6 Trophy Store explained: how to earn Trophies, what you can buy (pets, skins, pop effects, music, emotes), typical prices and what is worth it.

Guide

The Trophy Store is BTD6's cosmetic shop. You pay with Trophies, a currency you earn mostly from events, and in return you get pets, Bloon skins, pop effects, tower and hero effects, music remixes, co-op emotes and profile items. Nothing in it changes how strong your towers are, so it is purely about making the game look and sound the way you like.

How to earn Trophies

Trophies cannot be bought with real money. You earn them by playing:

Events are by far the biggest source. If you want Trophies quickly, play every Odyssey and Contested Territory you can and enter races even if you do not expect a top placement.

What the Trophy Store sells

The store has hundreds of items, grouped into a few kinds:

  • Hero pets and effects. Pets follow a hero around, such as Quincy's dad (75), Gwendolin's firefox (100) or Obyn's wolf (100). Hero placement effects, like Quincy's fireworks or Adora's sunbeam, cost 25 to 40.
  • Tower pets, projectiles and props. Examples are a bat for the Super Monkey (100), a rubber duck for the Monkey Sub (75), a narwhal for the Monkey Buccaneer (100), pineapple-shaped spikes for the Spike Factory (50) and country flags for the Monkey Village (25 to 40).
  • Tower placement and upgrade effects. Ghosts, fireworks, butterflies or bats that play when you place or upgrade any tower, usually 55 to 90.
  • Bloon skins. MOAB-class skins such as a football MOAB (30), a pizza BFB (40), a watermelon ZOMG (40), a shark DDT (40) and a piñata BAD (45).
  • All-Bloon decorations and pop effects. Googly eyes (40), top hats (50), confetti pops (40) or a barrel-of-monkeys pop (40).
  • Co-op emotes. Text emotes cost 10, animated emotes 40 to 50, and sound emotes like the airhorn 75.
  • Music remixes. Alternate versions of the game's music tracks, around 40 each.
  • Profile items. Avatars from 10 Trophies, plus banners.
  • UI extras. For example the Named Monkeys upgrade display (50).

Some items are limited-time and only appear in the store during an event or season. If you like one of those, buy it while it is there.

The Trophy Store is also where you equip cosmetics you got from other places, such as promo code rewards or the GG Nexus avatar from Creator Support. Owned items can be switched on and off at any time.

Achievements tied to the Trophy Store

Three easy achievements reward Trophy Store use, and two of them pay back part of what you spend:

  • All About That Bling: buy any Trophy Store item. Reward: 100 Monkey Money and 2 Tech Bots.
  • Coupon Crazy: spend at least 50 Trophies in total. Reward: 100 Monkey Money and 25 Trophies back.
  • Limited Run: buy a new limited-time item. Reward: 100 Monkey Money and a Time Stop.

A cheap way to collect the first two: buy a 10-Trophy avatar or emote first, then keep buying until you have spent 50 in total.

What is worth buying?

Since everything is cosmetic, "worth it" depends on what you will actually see:

  • Pets and skins for what you use most. A pet for your favourite hero or main tower shows up in nearly every game. A skin for a tower you never place is wasted.
  • Bloon skins and pop effects change the look of every game, so they give a lot of visual value for 30 to 50 Trophies.
  • Co-op emotes only matter if you play co-op regularly. Text emotes at 10 are the cheapest way to get the achievements above.
  • Music remixes are a nice change if you play long sessions.
  • Save for limited items. Regular items stay in the store, but limited ones leave. Keeping a small Trophy reserve means you never miss an event cosmetic you want.

Trophy Store tips

  • Check the store at the start of each event or holiday for new limited-time items.
  • Spend Trophies on things you will see every game before niche items, since income from events is steady but not fast.
  • Redeem cosmetic promo codes quickly: some of them unlock cosmetics you would otherwise spend Trophies on, and some are exclusive to the code.
