Budget Cash Drops lowers the price of the Cash Drop power from 200 to 180 Monkey Money per purchase. It is a fifth-row Powers knowledge that needs 3 points in the Powers tree and Fit Farmers, plus a one-time fee of 500 Monkey Money.

The discount applies in the Powers shop. If your Monkey Knowledge is switched off when you buy, Cash Drops cost the full 200.

How it changes the game

A Cash Drop gives you a lump of in-game cash when you use it. Players use it to jump-start an opening, fund an expensive upgrade a few rounds early, or rescue a game that is falling behind.

Budget Cash Drops does not change what a Cash Drop gives you, only what it costs. The math is easy:

  • You save 20 Monkey Money per Cash Drop.
  • The 500 fee is paid back after 25 purchases.
  • Counting the 250 you also paid for Fit Farmers on the way, you need about 38 Cash Drops before the branch is in profit.

So the knowledge only pays off if you buy Cash Drops regularly. For players who buy one or two a month, it takes a very long time to break even. Players who use Cash Drops heavily, for example to push through many hard medals in a short time, reach the break-even point much faster and save on every drop after that.

Is it worth it?

Priority: situational. Buy it if Cash Drops are part of your regular routine, for example to speed up hard medals or event grinding. Everyone else should skip it until the more important knowledge in every tree is done. Its other job is to unlock Grand Prix Spree, which is only worth it for players who pay for many race entries.

In the fifth row, Supa-Thrive has the same fee and helps every time you use Thrive. Which one is better depends on which Power you actually use.

Where it works

The shop discount works whenever your Monkey Knowledge is switched on. Using a Cash Drop in a game needs a mode where Powers are allowed, so not CHIMPS, Races or ranked Boss Events. Cash Drop has no relic in Contested Territory, so it cannot be used there.
