Fast Glue is a second-row Primary knowledge that reduces the attack cooldown of every Glue Gunner by 10%, which is about 11% more shots per second. It requires Fast Tack Attacks, costs one Knowledge Point and no Monkey Money, and unlocks More Splatty Glue.

How it changes the game

Glue Gunners rarely fail for lack of damage. They fail when bloons slip past between shots. A faster attack rate closes those gaps:

  • Early game: a 0-0-0 or 0-0-2 Glue Gunner coats more of each group, so the towers behind it get more time.
  • Middle path (Glue Splatter, Glue Hose, Glue Strike, Glue Storm): more splatters per second means more of a dense round gets glued. Glue Hose and Glue Strike in particular rely on a high fire rate.
  • Top path (Corrosive Glue, Bloon Dissolver, Bloon Liquefier, The Bloon Solver): each shot also deals damage over time, so faster shooting means more damage applied to more bloons.
  • Bottom path (MOAB Glue and above): blimps get re-glued faster after the glue wears off or a new blimp arrives.

The bonus is a permanent tower modifier, so it stacks with Monkey Village speed buffs, Alchemist potions and hero buffs. It does not add pierce, range or new damage types, and it only affects Glue Gunners.

Is it worth it?

Priority: good. On its own it is a modest, always-on buff. Its larger value is where it leads: More Splatty Glue, then Aviation Grade Glue, Cheaper Solution and Bonus Glue Gunner, which is one of the two routes to More Cash. Since More Cash needs both Bonus Glue Gunner and Bonus Monkey!, everyone who wants the extra starting cash buys Fast Glue at some point.

Compared with its sibling Hard Tacks, Fast Glue has a more general use, because a Glue Gunner shows up in far more strategies than a Tack and Ice combo. If you only have a few points, take Fast Glue first.

Where it works

Fast Glue is active in all modes where Monkey Knowledge is enabled, including Impoppable, Primary Only, Races and Boss Events. It is off in CHIMPS and in any challenge that disables knowledge in its rules. Glue timing matters a lot in CHIMPS, so if you rehearse a CHIMPS run, toggle knowledge off to see the real fire rate.
