Banana Farmer Pro
Banana Farmer Pro in BTD6: the upgradeable Pro Power for farms. How to unlock it, all 9 upgrades with prices, the best path and whether it is worth it.
Pro Banana Farmer farms bananas like a pro with increased range and collection speed.
Guide
The Banana Farmer Pro is the Pro version of the Banana Farmer. At base it collects bananas from a bigger radius and pulls them in faster, but the real difference is its upgrades: you can spend in-game cash on it to boost your farms, protect your bank income or even pop Bloons. It costs 100 Monkey Money and was added with the first Pro Powers in version 50.0.
How to unlock it
Like all Pro Powers, it is unlocked with XP from its base Power:
- Buying a Banana Farmer earns XP equal to eight times its Monkey Money cost (400 XP).
- Using one earns two times its cost (100 XP).
- Unlocking the Pro and its tier 1 upgrades needs 10,000 XP, which is about 20 Banana Farmers bought and used (1,000 Monkey Money).
- Tier 2 upgrades need 50,000 XP and tier 3 needs 150,000 XP. After unlocking, buying and using the Pro itself earns XP twice as efficiently.
The Powers Pro Launch Pack in the shop also unlocked it directly, together with the Super Monkey Beacon.
What it does at base
- Collects bananas, crates and other pickups within 75 units, 25% more than the regular Farmer.
- Draws bananas in faster.
- The Fit Farmers knowledge does not affect it.
Upgrades
Prices below are for Medium difficulty. Like every Pro Power, it can only use one path, and you can only have one tier 3 of each path at a time.
Path 1: collection
- Banana Vacuum ($200): range increases from 75 to 85 and bananas fly in faster.
- Banana Peels ($600): for every four bananas collected, it drops a banana peel on the track. Each peel hits 20 Bloons, blows them back 100 units, works on Camo and removes Regrow. It also lets Monkey Subs with Advanced Intel shoot at Bloons in its radius.
- Robo Farmer ($2,000): collects bananas from anywhere on the map.
Path 2: more bananas
- Camo Bananas ($900): the nearest Banana Farm in range drops one extra $80 Camo Banana per round.
- Regrow Bananas ($1,200): link it to a farm, which then grows one Regrow Banana for every four bananas it makes.
- Banana Intelligence Bureau ($5,000): every farm in range makes Camo and Regrow Bananas, and the linked farm makes a Regrow Banana for every banana, roughly doubling its income.
Path 3: banking
- Adaptive Workers ($650): farms in range sell for 2% more and their upgrades up to tier 3 cost 2% less. Stacks with other Pro Farmers up to four times.
- Monkey Banker ($800): automatically collects full Monkey Banks in range and increases bank income by 10%.
- Banana Financier ($3,000): puts $1,000 into empty Monkey Banks automatically, but adds the same amount as debt, paid back from half your income like an IMF Loan.
Best times to use it
- Farming games of any length. Place it in the middle of your farms as early as you would place a normal Farmer.
- Monkey Bank builds. Monkey Banker removes the main chore of banks: emptying them on time.
- Freeplay and Boss Events. Banana Intelligence Bureau pays off over many rounds when you have a big farm cluster.
Best combos
- Path 1 Banana Farms with Robo Farmer. Plantations and Banana Research Facilities anywhere on the map are collected automatically.
- Monkey Banks with Monkey Banker. Banks are emptied the moment they are full, so they never stop earning.
- Thrive. More farm income means more for Thrive to multiply.
- Benjamin. His income boosts work alongside a strong farm setup.
Where you can't use it
- Disabled in CHIMPS, Races and ranked Boss Events.
- Disabled in challenges and Quests that turn Powers off, and in the editors' test mode.
- Contested Territory only allows Powers from Relics, and there is no Relic for it.
- In Odyssey and Rogue Legends only equipped Powers can be used.
- Pro Powers count toward tower limits in challenges and events, though their upgrades do not count toward Least Tiers.
Is it worth the Monkey Money?
If you farm a lot, yes. For 100 Monkey Money you get everything the regular Farmer does plus upgrades that turn it into an economy tower. Monkey Banker and Banana Intelligence Bureau can earn back their cash cost many times in long games.
If you only want automatic collection in a normal game, the regular Banana Farmer at 50 Monkey Money does that job. Unlocking the Pro costs about 1,000 Monkey Money in regular Farmers, so it only makes sense for players who already use Farmers often.
