Guide

Round 83 is a one-minute stream of Ceramics with a MOAB wave in the middle. Plain, Regrow and Fortified Ceramics spawn side by side for 60 seconds, 40 of each, and 30 MOABs arrive between about 25 and 35 seconds in.

Because it is past round 80, all 120 Ceramics are Super Ceramics with 60 health each (120 when Fortified). Each one takes far more damage to break than a Ceramic before round 81, even though the round is only worth 25,080 RBE. Super Ceramics also pay more per pop, which is why the round is worth $4,566 from pops plus a $183 bonus.

How to beat round 83

You need sustained ceramic damage for a full minute and a solid MOAB answer in the middle.

  • Super Ceramic damage: use towers with high damage per hit. Sun Avatar and Sun Temple, Glaive Lord, Plasma Monkey Fan Club, Inferno Ring, Grandmaster Ninja, Wizard Lord Phoenix and the Bloon Solver all handle them. Low-damage, high-pierce towers lose a lot of value after round 80.
  • Regrow: finish Regrow Ceramics quickly; damaged ones that slip away will heal.
  • MOABs: 30 MOABs over ten seconds is a light load for an Impoppable-ready defence. Each one still drops four Super Ceramics, so do not place all your ceramic damage far from your MOAB killers.
  • Buffs: Berserker Brew alchemists and a Jungle Drums village give a big boost to ceramic-killing towers on this round.

In CHIMPS, round 83 rewards steady DPS over abilities. Keep your abilities for round 85.

The Alternate Bloons Rounds round 83 adds camo: 40 camo Ceramics, 40 Regrow Ceramics and 40 Fortified Camo Regrow Ceramics, plus 20 Fortified MOABs. RBE is 29,280.
