Speedy Brewing

Speedy Brewing is a second-row Magic knowledge that reduces the cooldown of every Alchemist attack and potion by 5%, about 5.3% more throws per second. That includes support potions such as Berserker Brew. It requires Magic Tricks, costs one Knowledge Point and no Monkey Money, and unlocks Mo' Monkey Money and Strong Tonic.

How it changes the game

The Alchemist does two jobs: it attacks with acid potions, and on the top path it buffs other towers. Speedy Brewing helps both:

• Top path (Berserker Brew, Stronger Stimulant, Permanent Brew): buff potions are thrown more often, so more of your towers keep the buff active and re-applied without gaps. This is the most valuable effect, since a buff Alchemist can raise the output of an entire defense.
• Middle path (Unstable Concoction, Transforming Tonic, Total Transformation): attack potions come faster, and while the Alchemist is transformed by its own Transforming Tonic or Total Transformation ability, its transformed attack also benefits.
• Bottom path (Acid Pool, Lead to Gold, Rubber to Gold, Bloon Master Alchemist): more potions means more acid pools and more gold-converting attacks.

It stacks with the Alchemist's own Faster Throwing (x-x-1), which makes 4-0-1 and 5-0-1 buff Alchemists even better. It does not affect other Alchemists that were turned into monsters by a different Alchemist's Total Transformation, only the caster's own attacks.

Because buff potions affect every tower in the Alchemist's range, the real gain is bigger than 5% on the Alchemist alone. A buff that drops off for a moment before the next potion lands costs your main damage tower its bonus for that time, and Speedy Brewing shrinks those gaps across your whole defense.

Is it worth it?

Priority: must-have. It is a free, permanent buff to one of the best support towers in the game, and it is the required step between Magic Tricks and Mo' Monkey Money. Most accounts own it within their first few Magic points.

From here, Strong Tonic and Acid Stability continue the Alchemist column, but they are more situational.

Where it works

Speedy Brewing is active wherever Monkey Knowledge is enabled: Standard, Impoppable, Magic Monkeys Only, Races and Boss Events, where buff Alchemists next to the main damage tower are standard. It is disabled in CHIMPS and in challenges that switch knowledge off.
