How to use Acid Pool
Acid Pool makes the Alchemist spill acid on the track. If no bloons are in range, the main attack drops a pool at a random spot on the track, and every fifth potion thrown at bloons also leaves a pool if it still had pierce left. Pools deal 1 damage with 5 pierce, last just under 7 seconds and apply the same acid damage-over-time as the main potions. They can damage almost every bloon type but cannot hit camo on their own, and each pool hits a bloon only once.
When to buy it
The pools get used up quickly by a few passing bloons, so they do not spread much damage. Acid Pool has no real synergy with the top path and only a small one with the middle path.
Its main niche is the 0-2-2 crosspath, where Perishing Potions makes each potion and pool deal 20 damage to fortified MOAB-class bloons. That can chip a fortified MOAB cheaply in Alternate Bloons Rounds. It is also the required step to Lead to Gold.
Is it worth it?
Mostly as a stepping stone. Buy it on the way to Lead to Gold and Rubber to Gold.
