How to use Larger Potions

Larger Potions gives the Alchemist's thrown potion +5 pierce (20 in total) and a 50% bigger splash radius. The bonus also carries over to other attacks when you crosspath: acid pools get +5 pierce, Rubber to Gold's gold potions get +5 pierce and a bigger splash, Unstable Concoction gets +1 pierce and a bigger splash, and the Transforming Tonic eye beam gets +3 pierce.

When to buy it

At $250 it is a cheap early upgrade. Players usually take it on the way to Acidic Mixture Dip, or add it afterwards on buff Alchemists.

It is the standard crosspath in three builds:

  • Bottom path economy Alchemists (1-0-3, 1-0-4), where more gold potion pierce means more bloons give double cash and more Leads turn into gold.
  • Unstable Concoction (1-3-0), where extra pierce applies the concoction to more blimps.
  • Transforming Tonic (1-4-0), for more eye beam pierce.

Is it worth it?

Yes. It is one of the most useful cheap crosspaths on the tower and almost never wasted.
