Rounds
Round 73
Round 73 in BTD6: 8 MOABs and 2 BFBs, starting with a tight 7-MOAB clump. RBE, cash and how to beat it, plus ABR.
Guide
Round 73 is a pure blimp round. It opens with seven MOABs packed into just over two seconds, sends two BFBs a little later, and ends with a single MOAB about 26 seconds in. There are no small bloons at all.
The opening clump is the part that leaks. Seven MOABs dying at once drop 28 Ceramics in the same spot, so a defence built only for single-target damage can get overwhelmed. The round is worth 11,256 RBE, pays about $1,220 from pops plus a $173 bonus and lasts about 27 seconds.
Bloons in round 73
- 7 × MOAB (0–2.3 s)
- 2 × BFB (13.4–16.4 s)
- 1 × MOAB (at 26.4 s)
How to beat round 73
Hit the opening MOAB clump hard and early.
- Area MOAB damage: towers that deal damage to several blimps at once shine here. MOAB SHREDR spikes, Ring of Fire tacks, Rocket Storm Dartlings, Recursive Cluster bombs and a Sun Avatar all spread their damage across the clump.
- Single-target damage for the BFBs: Elite Sniper, MOAB Assassin and Sticky Bomb handle the two BFBs.
- Slowdown: MOAB Glue or a Maim MOAB sniper stops the clump from reaching your exit while the ceramics are being cleaned up.
In CHIMPS this is a good round to spend on another MOAB tower, because round 75 adds stacked BFBs and round 77 sends 16 blimps in total.
Alternate Bloons Rounds
In Alternate Bloons Rounds every blimp is Fortified: eight Fortified MOABs and two Fortified BFBs. RBE rises to 16,496, which makes this one of the tougher ABR rounds in the 70s.
- 8 × MOAB (Fortified)
- 2 × BFB (Fortified)
