Mega Mauler is a fourth-row Primary knowledge that adds +2 damage against MOAB-class bloons to the main missiles of MOAB Mauler and its upgrades, MOAB Assassin and MOAB Eliminator. It sits below both Aviation Grade Glue and Hard Press, needs 8 Knowledge Points in the Primary tree and costs a one-time 250 Monkey Money plus one point. Nothing is unlocked by it.

How it changes the game

MOAB Mauler (x-3-x Bomb Shooter) is the cheapest dedicated blimp killer in the Primary class. Its missiles already deal big bonus damage to MOAB-class targets, and Mega Mauler adds 2 more per hit:

  • MOAB Mauler: this is where the bonus is largest in relative terms. Several 0-3-0 or 2-3-0 Bomb Shooters spammed around the first MOAB rounds hit noticeably harder.
  • MOAB Assassin: the main missile attack gets +2. The Assassin's activated ability does not.
  • MOAB Eliminator: the main attack gets +2 as well, but on a tower dealing this much damage per hit it is a very small percentage.

What it does not affect:

  • Frag Bombs fragments, even on x-3-2 crosspaths.
  • The activated abilities of MOAB Assassin and MOAB Eliminator, including their secondary explosions.
  • The Ballistic Obliteration Missile Bunker (Bomb Shooter Paragon).
  • Damage against Ceramics and smaller bloons.

Is it worth it?

Priority: situational. If MOAB Mauler spam is one of your go-to strategies, especially in Races or Primary Only, Mega Mauler is a straightforward damage boost for the rounds where blimps first appear. For late-game play it barely matters.

It also requires two separate routes (Glue and Boomerang), so most players reach it naturally after taking Aviation Grade Glue for More Cash and Hard Press for Long Turbo. Since it unlocks nothing, it is safe to leave it for later and buy it when you have a spare point and 250 Monkey Money.

Where it works

Mega Mauler works wherever Monkey Knowledge is enabled, including Impoppable and Boss Events, where Boss Bloons take the extra MOAB-class damage too. It is disabled in CHIMPS and in challenges that switch knowledge off, so a MOAB Mauler setup that just clears a round with knowledge on may fall short there.
