How to use MOAB Mauler
MOAB Mauler gives every bomb +15 damage against MOAB-class bloons, for 16 per explosion (18 with the Mega Mauler Monkey Knowledge). Range rises by 5 to 49. With the Frag Bombs crosspath, every frag also deals +4 damage to MOAB-class bloons. Against regular bloons nothing changes, and it still cannot pop black bloons or see camo.
When to buy it
MOAB Mauler is cheap MOAB help. It is a common addition for the round 40 MOAB and for breaking down groups of blimps in the mid game, such as round 75. Its blimp damage is fairly low for its price, so spamming many of them late in the game is not efficient unless the setup is built for it.
- 2-3-0 adds pierce and 2 damage for better cleanup around each blimp.
- 0-3-2 adds range and frags, and is the version used for spam with Striker Jones and Primary Expertise.
In Boss Rush it can serve as an early boss damage source if you start with enough cash.
Is it worth it?
Yes, as a cheap way to deal with the first MOABs and as the step to MOAB Assassin. Do not rely on it alone after round 60.
