Heavy Bombs
Heavy Bombs adds +1 damage and +10 pierce to every Bomb Shooter explosion. The key 2-x-x crosspath for cluster and MOAB builds, and when to buy it.
Heavy duty bombs can smash through 2 layers of Bloon at once and pop more Bloons.

How to use Heavy Bombs
Heavy Bombs raises explosion damage from 1 to 2 and pierce from 28 to 38. Two damage per hit lets the bomb skip layers. The bonus also applies to Cluster Bombs secondary explosions, gives Recursive Cluster and Bomb Blitz final explosions +30 pierce, and doubles frag damage to 2 with Frag Bombs.
When to buy it
A low-tier 2-0-0 is weak for its cost, so Heavy Bombs is bought either as a crosspath or on the way to Really Big Bombs. As a crosspath it is one of the best on the tower:
- 2-0-3 Cluster Bombs and 2-0-4 Recursive Cluster, where every explosion gets more damage and pierce. This is the standard choice in Races.
- 2-0-5 Bomb Blitz, which reaches 6 damage per explosion.
- 2-3-0 to 2-5-0 MOAB builds, which gain more pierce and damage against the bloons around each blimp.
Is it worth it?
Yes as a crosspath, especially for bottom path builds. On its own it is poor value; buy it only when the tower already has or is getting a tier 3 on another path.
