Inland Revenue Streams
Inland Revenue Streams in BTD6 raises the Monkey Town pop cash bonus from +50% to +60%. How it works, who benefits and why it leads to Healthy Bananas.
Monkey Town cash bonus increased by 10%.
Guide
Inland Revenue Streams raises the cash bonus of Monkey Town, the third bottom-path upgrade of the Monkey Village, from +50% to +60% cash per pop. It is a fourth-row Support knowledge: you need 3 points in Support and Farm Subsidy, plus a one-time fee of 250 Monkey Money.
How it changes the game
Monkey Town makes every bloon popped by towers in its range give extra cash. With this knowledge, that bonus is 60% instead of 50%, a 10-point increase on top of the normal pop income. It only counts pops made by towers inside the village's range, so the knowledge rewards defences that do almost all their popping under one 0-0-3 or higher village.
The best fits are compact defences on maps with one main kill zone, where a Monkey Town covers most of your damage dealers. On spread-out maps, or when much of your popping comes from towers outside the village, the extra income is small.
Because pop income grows with the round's RBE, the knowledge does more as rounds get bigger. In the early game a Monkey Town is rarely affordable anyway; from the mid game on, a well-placed Town plus Inland Revenue Streams adds a steady few hundred dollars per heavy round.
Pop income is reduced in modes like Half Cash and after round 50, and there is none at all in Deflation or in challenges with income disabled, so the knowledge loses value there too.
Is it worth it?
Priority: situational. Few players build Monkey Town just for its income, so the direct effect is minor. The real reason to buy Inland Revenue Streams is that it is the only path to Healthy Bananas, which makes Marketplaces and Central Markets generate lives. That knowledge is strong enough that most players will take this one on the way.
In the fourth row, Backroom Deals and To ARMS! are better on their own merits. Get Inland Revenue Streams when you are ready to aim for Healthy Bananas.
Where it works
Inland Revenue Streams is active in all modes with Monkey Knowledge enabled, including Impoppable. It is off in CHIMPS. Challenges that disable MK, some Odyssey maps and Rogue Legends ignore it, and any mode without pop income makes it useless.
