Big Cryo Blast

Big Cryo Blast is a fifth-row Primary knowledge that makes the blasts of Cryo Cannon and its upgrades 12% larger. You need 10 Knowledge Points in the Primary tree, So… Cold… and a one-time 500 Monkey Money on top of the point. It has nothing below it.

How it changes the game

Cryo Cannon (x-x-3 Ice Monkey) is the long-range Ice Monkey: instead of a freeze aura around itself, it fires freezing shots that burst on impact. A wider burst means each shot catches more bloons:

• Cryo Cannon: more bloons frozen per shot, which makes it a better stall for grouped rounds. The 0-1-3 or 0-2-3 crosspaths that add attack speed get the most out of the larger blasts, because they fire more of them.
• Icicles (x-x-4): the bigger blast freezes more bloons that then get hit by the icicles.
• Icicle Impale (x-x-5): its big freezing shots also cover more area, which helps it control crowded rounds around the main blimp target.

What it does not change: freeze duration, damage, attack speed or the tower's targeting range (range comes from Icy Chill). It also does not affect the Herald of Everfrost Paragon. Other Ice Monkey paths are unchanged.

Is it worth it?

Priority: situational. If you use Cryo Cannon as a support stall, especially in Primary Only games or on maps where its long range lets it sit far from the track, the larger blasts are a clear improvement. A 12% wider radius covers roughly a quarter more area per blast, which is more than the number suggests.

If you never use bottom-path Ice Monkeys, skip it until you have spare points and Monkey Money. It unlocks nothing, so it is never required for More Cash or the free-tower nodes. Among fifth-row Primary nodes, Long Turbo, Cheaper Solution and Come On Everybody! are higher priorities. Its sibling Hypothermia is better for middle-path ice players.

Where it works

Big Cryo Blast works wherever Monkey Knowledge is enabled: Standard, Impoppable, Primary Only, Races and Boss Events. It is off in CHIMPS and in challenges that disable knowledge. The 500 Monkey Money is a one-time fee that you do not pay again after a respec.
