Havoc Staff

The Havoc Staff is Skeletor's premium Power from the Masters of the Universe collaboration, added in version 51.0. When you use it, a ram skull hangs over the map for 20 seconds. It throws Tek Bombs that stun Bloons across the screen, and ghostly hands rise from the ground to drag Bloons away and turn them into cash. In the main version of BTD6 it comes from real-money packs or free Quest rewards.

What the Havoc Staff does

The Power lasts 20 seconds and has two effects.

Tek Bombs

• A bomb blast covers the whole map and stuns up to 5,000 Bloons for 4 seconds.
• It repeats twice more, three and six seconds after the first, for three stuns in total.
• The bombs only stun. They deal no damage.

Skeletor's hands

• Every half second a hand rises and grabs a random small Bloon, removing it completely with nothing left behind.
• Each grab gives $150, so the full 20 seconds produce 40 grabs and up to $6,000.
• If there are no small Bloons, the hand still grabs the track and still pays out.
• The hands cannot grab MOAB-class Bloons. That was removed in version 51.1.
• The extra cash is not changed by Double Cash or Half Cash, but it gives no cash in Deflation.

How to get the Havoc Staff

• Free: the Oh no! Skeletor! Quest gives 3, and He-Man Has The Power! gives 5.
• Shop packs: the Havoc Staff Booster, the Skeletor Prestige Pack and the Masters of the Universe Booster Pack each include 30.
• BTD6+ and the Netflix version: bought for 500 Monkey Money, as these have no shop.

Best times to use it

The cash is the best part of this Power, and it is fixed. $6,000 is a fortune early and small change late, so use it early.

• Round 1 to round 10. $6,000 is more than twice a Cash Drop and almost ten times the $650 you start with on most modes. Drop it in an early round and invest everything in farms or your key towers.
• Half Cash. The hands still pay the full $150 each, while a Cash Drop is halved. That makes it one of the strongest openers for Half Cash medals.
• Hard Impoppable starts. An early $6,000 snowballs through the whole game.
• Emergency stun. Three stuns over six seconds can stop a leak for a moment, but Time Stop gives a longer slow for much less.

Using it late in a game wastes most of its value.

Best combos

• Banana Farms. Turn the $6,000 straight into farms on the first rounds.
• Benjamin. His income stacks with an early cash boost.
• Skeletor skin for Obyn Greenfoot. The matching hero skin from the same collaboration.
• Banana Farmer. Keeps collecting the bananas that your new farms produce.

Where you can't use it

• Disabled in CHIMPS, Races and ranked Boss Events.
• Disabled in challenges and Quests that turn Powers off, and in the editors' test mode.
• Contested Territory only allows Powers from Relics, and there is no Relic for it.
• In Odyssey only equipped Powers can be used.

Is it worth the money?

As a free reward, yes, and you should treat it as a premium Cash Drop. Save Quest copies for the start of a hard medal attempt, especially in Half Cash, where it is worth far more than any normal economy Power.

As a purchase, no. It is never required, and the stun part is weaker than Time Stop. If you want the Skeletor skin anyway, the Prestige Pack includes 30 Havoc Staffs as a bonus.
