Round 39 is the heaviest round before the first MOAB. It sends 10 blacks, 10 whites, 20 Zebras, 18 Rainbow Bloons and finally 2 Regrow Rainbows over about 38 seconds. The total is 1,620 RBE, and most of it comes from the rainbows, each of which unpacks into two zebras and then a stream of blacks, whites and pinks.

How to beat round 39
This round is about pierce and mixed damage.
- Sharp or magic damage handles every layer. Bombs help with the pinks but cannot touch zebras or blacks.
- High-pierce towers near the entrance, such as a Tack Shooter or a Boomerang Monkey with glaives, deal with the rainbow children efficiently.
- The two Regrow Rainbows at the end can rebuild if they are only partly popped, so finish them in one area.
Round 40 is a single MOAB, so spend the cash from this round on MOAB damage.
