Violent Impact

Violent Impact is a fifth-row Primary knowledge that makes Bloon Impact's stun last 25% longer, from 1.4 seconds to 1.75 seconds. You need 10 Knowledge Points in the Primary tree, Budget Clusters and a one-time 500 Monkey Money. It has nothing below it.

How it changes the game

Bloon Impact (4-x-x Bomb Shooter) stuns every bloon caught in its explosions, holding them in place for a moment. A longer stun means more time for the rest of your defense to work:

• Mid-game stall: a 4-0-x or 4-2-x Bloon Impact on a busy section of track keeps groups frozen in place longer, giving Tack Shooters, Glaives or Wizards more time to finish them.
• Weaker crosspaths benefit most. A 4-0-2 or 4-0-1 Bloon Impact fires more slowly than a 4-2-0, so its stuns are more likely to run out before the next bomb lands. The extra 0.35 seconds helps close those gaps. A 4-2-0 already refreshes its stuns quickly, so it gains less.
• Stun stacking: since version 8, Bloon Impact refreshes stuns on bloons it hits again, so Violent Impact never makes the tower worse, it only lengthens each stun.

What it does not affect:

• Bloon Crush (5-x-x Bomb Shooter), which has its own stun values.
• The Ballistic Obliteration Missile Bunker Paragon.
• Any other stun in the game, such as Ninja Monkey flash bombs or Sniper Monkey effects.

Bloon Impact stuns do not hold MOAB-class bloons the way they hold regular bloons, so this is mainly an anti-Ceramic and anti-group knowledge.

Is it worth it?

Priority: situational. It is useful for players who park a Bloon Impact on a choke point, especially in Primary Only where stall options are limited. For everyone else it is one of the lower-value fifth-row Primary nodes, since it unlocks nothing and Bloon Crush, the usual end goal, is not affected.

If you have points and Monkey Money for only one fifth-row node, Cheaper Solution, Come On Everybody! and Long Turbo come first.

Where it works

Violent Impact is active wherever Monkey Knowledge is enabled: Standard, Impoppable, Primary Only, Races and Boss Events. It is off in CHIMPS and in challenges that switch knowledge off, so a Bloon Impact stall that holds with knowledge may leak there.
