Intermediate map
Quiet Street
Info
Quiet Street is an Intermediate holiday map set on a snowy circular street. It was released in Version 29.0 alongside the Navarch of the Seas Paragon. Like every Intermediate map, it unlocks once you have won games on five different maps.
Layout and path. The map has three entrances and three exits, but they are not all used for the same bloons. Regular bloons enter from two entrances on the left at the same time and follow two side-by-side lanes around the circular street, about 29 red bloon seconds (RBS) each. MOAB-class bloons only use the third, thicker road, which starts at the bottom left and heads toward the top; it is slightly longer at about 30 RBS. Because the bloon lanes run close together but are spread around the circle, towers often find themselves in range of one lane and not the other.
Placement. You can place towers on the land around the street, including the island in the middle of the road with the Christmas tree. Space is plentiful, especially once you clear the cars, and the map handles a fair number of Banana Farms or a large Monkey Village setup.
Removable objects. Five parked cars can be removed for $250 each. The frozen ponds on both sides can be broken for $500 each, which turns them into water for subs and boats.
Line of sight. Bushes on the right side of the road block vision and cannot be removed. Walls on the left near the lane starts also block many shots.
Compared to similar maps. Quarry also gives MOABs their own route, but on Quiet Street the bloon and MOAB lanes share the same circle, close together. That makes the early game harder than it looks, with bloons on two separate lanes, while the late game is easier because the single MOAB lane is easy to cover from the central island.
How to beat Quiet Street
Map overview for strategy
Quiet Street looks easy, but the early game can be awkward. Regular bloons arrive on two lanes from the left at the same time, and those lanes run side by side around a circle. Your towers often end up covering one lane well and the other poorly. From round 40, MOAB-class bloons use a separate, thicker road that starts at the bottom left and runs toward the top.
What that means in practice:
- Long range wins early. Towers that reach both bloon lanes from one spot are worth much more than short-range towers.
- Build toward the top side. Most of the useful coverage is on the top part of the street, so your main defence should focus there.
- The central island is key. It sits inside the circle and sees a lot of all three lanes.
- The water is a bonus, not a core. Breaking the ponds costs $500 each, and subs or boats there are mainly support. Submerge and Support subs or Merchantmen outside CHIMPS are the common uses.
The late game is easier, because the MOAB road is a single lane that the island covers well. Just do not forget the bloon lanes, which still carry ceramic and camo rushes.
Best towers
- Dartling Gunner 0-2-3 (Buckshot), later 0-2-4 (BADS) or 0-2-5 (BEZ). Placed on the central island, its spread shots cover both bloon lanes before they even enter the circle. Bloon Area Denial System attacks in all directions around the circle on its own, and Bloon Exclusion Zone can fire over the walls. It cannot pop leads, so give it external help such as a Monkey Intelligence Bureau.
- Wizard Monkey 1-x-x (Guided Magic). Its bolts curve around walls and reach both lanes. A 1-0-4 Necromancer works especially well because popped bloons from both lanes refill its graveyard.
- Spike Factory 0-5-x (Carpet of Spikes). Because MOABs and bloons travel on separate but close lanes, the outer ring of spikes is not eaten by ceramic rushes and stays available for MOABs. Pair it with a cleanup tower for ceramics.
- Ninja Monkey 4-0-1 with an Alchemist 4-2-0 on the island.
- Mortar Monkey 0-2-4 (Shattering Shells) for ceramic rounds on the bloon lanes.
- Glue Gunner 2-0-3 (MOAB Glue) on the MOAB road.
Best heroes
- Obyn Greenfoot, Ezili, Adora and Etienne. All four can attack bloons on the far side of the walls and have the range to reach both bloon lanes, which is exactly what this map asks for.
- Psi. Unlimited range covers all three lanes.
- Sauda. Strong early on the island, though her short range only covers part of the circle.
Easy and Medium
Put your hero on the central island and a Dart Monkey near the top side of the street. Add a Wizard with Guided Magic or a Ninja for camo before round 24, and lead popping before round 28. From round 40, MOABs take the thick road, so place your MOAB damage where it covers that lane. On Medium, add an Alchemist and a Dartling Gunner with Buckshot on the island.
Hard
- Hero on the island and a Dart Monkey at the top from round 3.
- Camo by round 24 and lead popping by round 28, both reaching both bloon lanes.
- MOAB damage covering the MOAB road by round 40.
- A Dartling Gunner toward BADS, an Alchemist and Shattering Shells by round 63.
- MOAB Glue on the MOAB road and stronger MOAB damage for the ZOMG on round 80.
CHIMPS
CHIMPS starts on round 6 with $650. A realistic plan:
- Round 6: Hero (Obyn, Etienne or Ezili) where it reaches both bloon lanes, and a Dart Monkey on the top side.
- Rounds 7–20: A Wizard Monkey at 1-0-0 (Guided Magic) and a second Dart or a Ninja. Remove cars only if they block a spot you need.
- By round 23: camo for round 24, such as a Wizard at 1-0-2 (Monkey Sense) or a Ninja 2-0-1.
- By round 27: lead popping for round 28; the Wizard's magic bolts can pop leads.
- Rounds 30–39: A Dartling Gunner on the island toward 0-2-3, plus a MOAB answer on the MOAB road (for example a 2-3-0 Bomb Shooter) for round 40.
- Rounds 40–62: Ninja 4-0-1 with an Alchemist 4-2-0, the Wizard toward 1-0-4 Necromancer, and a Mortar 0-2-4 before round 63.
- Rounds 63–80: Dartling to 0-2-4 (BADS), a Glue Gunner 2-0-3 on the MOAB road, and a Village with Monkey Intelligence Bureau (0-3-0) to let the Dartling hit leads and DDTs. Have enough MOAB damage for round 80.
- Rounds 81–100: More MOAB damage on the MOAB road, such as a Carpet of Spikes or Bloon Exclusion Zone. Keep camo coverage on the bloon lanes for round 95.
Impoppable
Same plan, higher prices and one life. Clear the cars early to make room for Banana Farms, which fit well here.
Other modes
- Boss Events: bosses currently spawn on the regular bloon ring, not on the MOAB road, so plan boss damage around the bloon lanes.
- Magic Monkeys Only: Guided Magic Wizards and Necromancers on the island are excellent.
Dangerous rounds on this map
- Round 24 (camo green): camo on two separate lanes. A single short-range camo tower will miss one of them.
- Round 28 (leads): both bloon lanes at once.
- Round 40 (first MOAB): the first round that uses the MOAB road. Towers placed only for the bloon lanes may not reach it.
- Round 63 (75 leads, 122 ceramics): split across both bloon lanes. Shattering Shells and a Dartling on the island help.
- Rounds 76 and 78: regrow ceramics, then a mixed rush with camo ceramics on the bloon lanes, plus a BFB on the MOAB road in round 78.
- Round 95: camo leads on the bloon lanes and DDTs on the MOAB road. Two very different threats at once.
- Rounds 98 to 100: fortified BFBs, ZOMGs, fortified DDTs and the BAD on the MOAB road. Carpet of Spikes and MOAB Glue there pay off.
