Battle Cat

Battle Cat is the first premium Power in BTD6, added in version 46.0 as part of the Masters of the Universe collaboration. You place Cringer, a nervous green tiger who swipes at nearby Bloons. When you need him, activate his ability and he transforms into Battle Cat for four rounds: a much stronger attacker that strips Camo, Regrow and Bloon immunities. In the main game he comes from real-money packs or free Quest rewards, not from Monkey Money.

What Battle Cat does

Cringer form

• Placed on land like a tower. Can be placed between rounds.
• Swipes with his claws once per second, hitting up to 20 Bloons in a small area for 2 sharp damage.
• Range of 26 units, with First, Last, Close and Strong targeting.
• Cannot see Camo, and sharp damage cannot pop Lead.

Battle Cat form

Use his ability to transform. For the next four rounds he:

• Gains Camo detection.
• Attacks for 20 damage in a larger area, hitting up to 20 Bloons per swing.
• Knocks Bloons back, including MOAB-class Bloons.
• Sets Bloons up for damage over time: 25 damage per second for 10 seconds.
• Removes Camo and Regrow from the Bloons he hits.
• Removes their immunities for 10 seconds, so towers that could not pop them before can.
• Slows them to half speed for 10 seconds.

After four rounds Battle Cat disappears. Version 51.0 extended the transformation from three to four rounds.

How to get Battle Cat

• Free: the By the Power of Battle Cat! Quest gives 3, and He-Man Has The Power! gives 5.
• Shop packs: the Battle Cat Booster Pack, the Battle Cat Prestige Pack, the He-Man Prestige Pack and the Masters of the Universe Booster Pack each include 30.
• BTD6+ and the Netflix version: bought for 500 Monkey Money, since these versions have no shop.
• Rogue Legends: available as a Boost or through the Summon Battle Cat Artifact for $1,945 of in-run cash.

Best times to use it

• Early rounds on hard modes. Cringer is essentially free damage. On Impoppable or Half Cash he helps you get through the opening rounds while you save money.
• Save the transformation for rounds 90 and up. This is where his tricks matter: round 90 brings Camo Regrow Fortified Leads and Camo DDTs, and round 95 has 750 Camo Bloons plus 30 DDTs. Removing Camo, Regrow and immunities from those waves makes the rest of your defence much stronger.
• Before the round 100 BAD. Knockback and slow on the DDTs and ZOMGs that spill out help stop late leaks. Remember the transformation lasts four rounds, so time it to cover the rounds you fear most.

Best combos

• Towers with immunity gaps. Bomb Shooters cannot pop Black Bloons and Ice Monkeys cannot pop White. Battle Cat removes those immunities for 10 seconds.
• Defences without Camo detection. He strips Camo from everything he hits, which helps the towers behind him.
• Prince Adam (He-Man) skin. The matching hero skin from the same collaboration.
• Glue Trap. Glued Bloons sit in his range longer.

Where you can't use it

• Disabled in CHIMPS, Races and ranked Boss Events.
• Disabled in challenges and Quests that turn Powers off, and in the editors' test mode.
• Contested Territory only allows Powers from Relics, and there is no Relic for it.
• In Odyssey only equipped Powers can be used.

Is it worth the money?

As free Quest rewards, absolutely: Cringer helps early, and Battle Cat solves Camo, Regrow and immunity problems in late rounds. Save the transformations for rounds 90 and later.

Buying him with real money is not necessary. Insta Monkeys from daily rewards and events can carry early and late game just as well, and no medal requires a premium Power. If you buy the Prestige Pack for the cosmetics, the 30 Battle Cats are a fun extra.
