Beginner map
Resort
Info
Resort is a beach-themed Beginner map added in Version 25.0 in April 2021. It shows a seaside resort with lounge chairs, a table with a cocktail and a plate of bananas, red beach umbrellas, a sand sculpture and a swimming pool.
The path is built from rectangles. Bloons enter from the left, then loop clockwise around a series of rectangles, starting with the smallest and working out to the largest, before leaving on the right. There is one entrance and one exit. The layout resembles the BTD5 map Express Shipping.
Resort is long. At 54.33 RBS (about 1,494 range units) it is one of the longest maps in BTD6, behind only Scrapyard and Logs. Bloons spend a lot of time circling the rectangles, which is great for towers that cover a zone, such as Tack Shooters, Ice Monkeys and Sauda.
The pool on the right side counts as water and fits Monkey Subs, Buccaneers, Admiral Brickell and Pat Fusty. Towers can be placed almost anywhere on the sand except on the brick path itself, the table, the bottom-left palm tree and the umbrella stands. The two umbrellas and the bottom-left palm tree block line of sight, so avoid placing towers that need vision right behind them. There is no high ground and there are no removable objects.
There are a few fun details. Tapping the base of an umbrella opens or closes it, letting you see underneath. A small crab hides behind the bottom-left tree and wiggles when tapped. The sand sculpture looks a lot like Captain Churchill's tank, and he was apparently the one who built it.
The open middle area is large enough for a lot of farms, so Resort is popular for long freeplay games and Boss events as well as for regular medals.
How to beat Resort
Map overview for strategy
Resort is easy because bloons keep circling. The nested rectangles mean a tower in the middle of the loops sees bloons on several laps, and the long track gives your defense plenty of time. The pool adds water options and there is lots of open sand for farms.
The innermost rectangle is the best spot for short-range towers like Sauda or a Tack Shooter. Long-range military towers, such as Snipers, Subs and Heli Pilots, also shine here because most of the map has clear vision. Just keep them away from the umbrellas and the palm tree.
Two map-specific tips: a Monkey Sub at 4-0-2 (Bloontonium Reactor) placed well can remove camo from bloons across the whole inner set of rings, and Pat Fusty placed in the pool can sit close enough to buff monkeys on the left side of the inner square.
Best towers
- Tack Shooter 2-0-4 or 5-0-2 inside the innermost rectangle.
- Ice Monkey 4-0-1 in the rings to slow rushes.
- Monkey Sub 4-0-2 (Bloontonium Reactor) for decamo across the inner rings, and 2-0-4 for damage.
- Ninja Monkey 4-0-1 and 2-0-4.
- Alchemist 4-2-0.
- Sniper Monkey 4-0-2 and Heli Pilot 4-0-2: long-range military with clear vision.
- Monkey Village 2-2-0 in the middle.
- Super Monkey: a Sun Temple in the middle of the loops.
Best heroes
- Sauda: inside the innermost rectangle she hits bloons on every lap.
- Pat Fusty: placed in the pool he can buff towers on the left side of the inner square.
- Admiral Brickell: a solid choice for a naval build in the pool.
- Quincy: a cheap and reliable all-rounder.
Easy and Medium
Sauda or a Tack Shooter inside the innermost rectangle carries the early game. Add a Ninja for camo, a Bomb Shooter or Alchemist for leads, and Banana Farms in the middle. An Overdrive Tack and a 4-0-1 Ninja win Medium.
Hard
Farm three or four Banana Farms in the open middle. Build Sauda, a Tack and a Ninja in the inner rectangle with an Alchemist and a 2-2-0 Village. Add a Sub in the pool and Sticky Bombs for the MOAB rounds.
CHIMPS
- Rounds 1 to 6: Sauda inside the innermost rectangle, plus a Dart Monkey if you can afford it.
- Rounds 7 to 18: a Tack Shooter in the same area (2-0-2), then a Ninja for camo before round 24.
- Rounds 19 to 30: an Alchemist next to the Ninja and Tack. It handles the round 28 leads.
- Rounds 31 to 45: Ninja to 4-0-1, Alchemist to 3-2-0, Tack to 2-0-4. A Sub in the pool at 2-0-3.
- Rounds 46 to 63: a 2-2-0 Village, a Sticky Bomb Ninja by round 60, and a 4-2-0 Glaive or Ice Monkey 4-0-1 for round 63.
- Rounds 64 to 80: Alchemist to 4-2-0, a second Sub at 4-0-2 for decamo, and a Sniper at 4-0-2 Maim MOAB.
- Rounds 81 to 100: a Sun Temple in the middle, more Sticky Bombs, and the Bloontonium Reactor for the camo DDTs on 95 and 99.
The long track forgives small leaks. Most problems come from regrows escaping the inner rectangle and healing on the outer laps.
Impoppable
Resort is a very comfortable Impoppable map. Farm heavily in the middle, follow the CHIMPS core, and add a Sun Temple by round 85.
Other modes
- Deflation: Sauda, an Overdrive Tack, Ninja and Alchemist in the innermost rectangle.
- Military Only: Snipers, Subs and Heli Pilots work well with the clear vision.
- Apopalypse: the nested loops handle constant streams very well.
- Half Cash: Sauda carries the early rounds while you farm.
Dangerous rounds on this map
- Round 24: one camo green. Sauda and Tacks need a Ninja or radar.
- Round 28: six leads. Tacks without Hot Shots cannot pop them.
- Round 40: the first MOAB. The long track makes it manageable.
- Round 63: 122 dense ceramics. The nested loops give your towers several laps, which helps a lot.
- Round 76: 60 regrow ceramics. Regrows that escape the inner loops heal on the long outer laps.
- Round 78: camo ceramics and purples. Purples resist fire, energy and plasma.
- Round 95: camo regrow purples and fortified leads, then MOABs and DDTs.
- Round 98: 30 fortified BFBs and 8 ZOMGs.
- Round 99: 60 MOABs and 9 fortified DDTs.
- Round 100: one BAD that ignores slows.

Frequently asked questions
How long is Resort in BTD6?
About 54 RBS, which makes it one of the longest maps in the game, behind Scrapyard and Logs.
What is the best hero for Resort?
Sauda inside the innermost rectangle. Pat Fusty in the pool and Brickell are good alternatives.
Does Resort have water?
Yes, the pool on the right side fits Subs, Buccaneers, Brickell and Pat Fusty.
How do you beat Resort CHIMPS?
Put Sauda, a Tack, a Ninja and an Alchemist in the innermost rectangle, add a Sub in the pool and a Village, then Sticky Bombs and a Sun Temple.
How much Monkey Money does Resort give?
First-time medals pay 75, 125, 200 and 300 Monkey Money for the Easy, Medium, Hard and Impoppable/CHIMPS tiers. Replays pay one fifth.
