Bloontonium Reactor

Bloontonium Reactor turns the submerged aura into a weapon. Each pulse now also deals 1 damage to up to 50 Bloons (it cannot pop Lead), and the pulse fires about 4.8 times as fast as before. The de-camo still applies to up to 100 Bloons. While submerged, water towers in its range get 15% shorter ability cooldowns. When not submerged, its darts deal 2 damage instead of 1.

When to buy it

It is a strong multi-purpose tower in the early and mid-game: it cleans up anything below Ceramics and gives near-instant de-camo. Place it where its circle covers as much track as possible.

Uses:

• Races: its high pierce shines. A common trick is to buff a Submerge and Support with a 3-2-0 Berserker Brew, sell the Alchemist, then upgrade to 4-1-0 and pair it with Ice Shards.
• Late game: instant de-camo on DDTs and cooldown reduction for water towers, especially Admiral Brickell and First Strike Capability. On some maps the cooldown cut is what lets First Strike fire twice against round 100's BAD.

Crosspaths: 4-0-1 is best outside of Races for stronger cleanup. 4-1-0 when the extra pierce is needed. 4-2-0 only if you have no other Lead popping.

Is it worth it?

Yes. Few towers give de-camo, cleanup and ability support for this price.
