Bloons TD 6 version 57.0 went live on October 6, 2026. It follows the Skywarden update (56.0) from August and is the last major update before the end-of-year Update 58. Version 57.0 adds a lot to one tower, changes how you collect Insta Monkeys, and brings one of the longest balance lists of the year.
The headline additions:
- S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey, the Sniper Monkey Paragon. It is a single-target specialist that shares its view of the map with every other sniper.
- Ship Capture, a community-made Advanced map. Bloon pirates storm a ship from port and starboard.
- Insta Monkey v2. Random Insta packs are gone. A Featured tab of 10 rotating deals and a Featured Freeplay Challenge replace them.
- Accessibility & Advanced Options, with numerical ability timers, a Cash Spent counter and a memory optimization toggle.
Under that, the T4 Supply Drop finally gets an offensive mode. Paragon degrees work differently now, and Skywarden, Admiral Brickell and the Boss Rush mode all get big lists of number changes.

S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey: the Sniper Monkey Paragon

Players had asked for a Sniper Paragon for years, and S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey is the answer. It costs $800,000 on Medium. Like every other entry on our paragons list, it needs all three Tier 5 Snipers on the field before you can buy it: Cripple MOAB, Elite Sniper and Elite Defender.
Ninja Kiwi said in the notes that the paragon was hard to design. A tower that fully blocks Bloons at the entrance would have looked bad, so they made the Sniper the game’s single-target specialist. You get slow, heavy hits, automated income, a temporary area buff for crowds and a huge single shot for the biggest target on screen.
Elite Targeting and the watchtower
S.P.I.D.E.R. sits on top of a high watchtower with a clear view of the track. Through Elite Targeting it passes that view to your other Sniper Monkeys. You choose whether each sniper follows the paragon’s main target or keeps firing on its own. That matters for boss rounds, where you want every rifle on the same target. It also runs an automated barrage of Cash Drops, so the paragon pays for some of your next upgrades.
Main attack: bouncing heavy shot and shrapnel
The main attack is a heavy-caliber shot that bounces to one extra target. Its fire rate is conditional. It speeds up as Bloons get closer to the exit, and it speeds up again with each shot in a row on the same target. Every hit sprays shrapnel, which hangs for a short moment, then homes in on nearby Bloons and explodes. That shrapnel is what trims down the small stuff around a big target.
Abilities
- Offensive Supply Drop (paragon version): a stronger version of the new Sniper ammo drop. It has no limited shot count and it supercharges nearby snipers that use shrapnel. Ninja Kiwi calls it an area burst safety net for dense rushes.
- Charged execution shot: the paragon locks onto the strongest Bloon on screen and charges a shot. Damage grows the longer it charges. When it fires, it breaks through to the next boss skull or destroys the target in one shot.
The patch notes give no damage values or cooldowns for either ability, so treat any exact numbers you see quoted elsewhere with care until they are tested in game.
What it is good and bad at
S.P.I.D.E.R. is built for boss events and late freeplay, where one target with a huge health bar decides the game. The charged shot takes boss skulls, the shared targeting puts your whole sniper line on the same Bloon, and the Cash Drops help you fund it. It is not an all-round tower. Its base attack is slow, and on dense rushes it leans on the Supply Drop ability and the support around it. Early showcase runs paired it with towers that make up for the slow fire rate, which is the right instinct.
Quick take: Think of S.P.I.D.E.R. as the boss killer and sniper commander, not your main crowd control. Pair it with real area damage, and use the Cash Drops to pay for degree power.
Supply Drop rework: Cash Drop or Ammo Drop

The paragon is not the only change to the middle path. The x4x Supply Drop now has an Ammo Swap toggle. The ability can call either the classic Cash Drop or a new Ammo Drop, and both share one cooldown.
The Ammo Drop powers up your next few attacks with fiery shrapnel that has more pierce, more damage, longer travel and the ability to pop all Bloon types. Ninja Kiwi says outright that it is meant to give Supply Drop a purpose in CHIMPS, where cash drops do nothing. The bottom-path joke line in the notes, “Semi-Automatic Sniper pierce 1 > REALLY 1”, means its pierce stays at 1.
Ship Capture: the new Advanced map

Ship Capture is a community map designed by MrRoostee, and it is rated Advanced. The theme is a boarding action. Bloon pirates attack from port and starboard, and you have to stop them from raiding the Captain’s Quarters and stealing the booty.
In practice that means two routes that come in from opposite sides of the ship and converge low on the deck, so you are splitting your defense from round one. The middle of the ship has a small wooden grate with limited room for towers. There are also wooden planks in the centre that you can remove mid-game to open space for water towers. You can leave them in place and build land towers on the narrow plank area instead. In CHIMPS you cannot sell to fix a bad opening, so plan which lane each early tower covers before you place it.
Insta Monkey v2: the Featured tab and Freeplay Challenge
This is the system change with the most effect on the game’s economy. Every randomized Insta Monkey pack has been removed from the store. The Instas + Powers menu got a new icon and styling, and some of the worst outdated Insta icons were redrawn. Our Insta Monkeys page covers the basics.
How the Featured tab works
- The tab shows 10 Insta deals, the same for every player.
- Offers unlock over the course of one week, and the whole set resets every two weeks.
- Offers 1 to 9 are single Insta Monkeys. Buying one with real money gives 3 copies. You can also unlock it for Monkey Money by completing a gameplay goal.
- Most goals take one game or less. Tier 5 goals take more work, and several goals can progress at the same time.
- Offer 10 is one random premade bundle, picked to always be a fun drop.
Featured Freeplay Challenge
Every two weeks, alongside the Featured tab, you get a shared freeplay challenge. You beat the final round using a limited set of heroes and a global tower limit. Your highest freeplay round is shown so you can compare with friends, but it is not ranked. Clearing it unlocks an Insta chest with three choices, and two of those are tailored to your collection progress. That makes it a good way to fill gaps in your collection.
Monkey Teams and Sun Temple Instas
If you beat round 100 without breaking a Monkey Team, the game now tries to roll one of that team’s three monkeys as your round 100 Insta reward. So a Monkey Team run is now a way to aim for a specific Insta. Sun Temple Instas now place with $40,001 in every sacrifice category. True Sun God Instas get double in every category except Support.
Balance changes in v57.0
Version 57.0 changes 11 towers, 2 heroes, the paragon degree formula and Boss Rush. Most of the numbers are on the Skywarden and on Admiral Brickell. Values are written as before → after.
Dart Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Crossbow (xx3) | Pierce 4 → 5 | Buff |
| Sharp Shooter (xx4) | Crit damage 50 → 60 | Buff |
| Crossbow Master (xx5) | Parallel projectiles 1 → 2 | Buff |
| Crossbow Master (xx5) | Attack cooldown 0.2375s → 0.475s (pierce stays 8) | Nerf |
Crossbow Master now fires two bolts side by side at half the rate. Raw output per second is about the same, but more of it lands on a spread line of Bloons. The real buffs are on the cheaper Crossbow and Sharp Shooter tiers.
Bomb Shooter
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Frag Bombs (xx2) | Frag pierce 1 → 2 | Buff |
| Frag Bombs (xx2) | Frag pierce penalty against all targets +1 | Nerf |
| MOAB Assassin (042) | Ability frag pierce 2 → 4 | Buff |
| MOAB Assassin (042) | Ability frag count 16 → 8 | Nerf |
| Bomb Blitz (xx5) | Ability limited to once per round | Nerf |
| All x2x Bomb Shooters | Missile eject points moved so missiles fire from the cannon | Change |
Really Big Bombs (3xx) keeps a frag pierce penalty of 0. The main nerf here is Bomb Blitz. It can only fire once a round now, so you can no longer rely on it more than once in the same round.
Ice Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| All Ice Monkeys (000+) | Freeze is now applied after damage, so extra damage from artifacts, perks or traits no longer stops the freeze | Change |
This matters most in Legends and boosted modes, where bonus damage used to kill the layer the freeze should have landed on.
Glue Gunner
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Glue Splatter (x2x) | Price $970 → $650 | Buff |
| Glue Strike (x4x) | Price $4,000 → $4,500 | Nerf |
| Stickier Glue (xx1) | Glue duration 24s → 18s | Nerf |
Glue Splatter is now $320 cheaper, which makes an early middle-path glue much easier to fit in. The extra cost moves up to Glue Strike.
Sniper Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Supply Drop (x4x) | Ability toggles between Cash Drop and Ammo Drop (shared cooldown) | Buff |
| Semi-Automatic (xx3) | Pierce 1 → “REALLY 1” (value stays 1) | Change |
Super Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Temple, $20,001 Magic sacrifice | Wind fart pierce 500 → 100 | Nerf |
| Temple, $20,001 Magic sacrifice | Wind fart now removes Camo from Bloons | Buff |
| Temple, $35,001 Magic sacrifice | Wind fart now hits DDTs (pierce penalty +4) | Buff |
The Magic sacrifice fart hits far fewer Bloons now, but it strips Camo. A big Magic sacrifice also lets it push DDTs.
Alchemist
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Lead to Gold (xx3) | Now tracks cash earned | Change |
| Rubber to Gold (xx4) | Now tracks cash earned | Change |
| Rubber to Gold (xx4) | Bonus cash paid to the Alchemist immediately when the Bloon is popped by a Bloon Trap or Wall of Trees | Change |
You can finally see what your Rubber to Gold setup actually earns, so you can tell whether it is worth its cost on a given map.
Skywarden

| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Combos (all) | Combo debuff durations 2s → 3s | Buff |
| Combos (all) | Combos can now trigger from popped Red Bloons | Buff |
| Aerial Attunement (1xx) | Max stacks 5 → 3 | Nerf |
| Aerial Attunement (1xx) | Range per stack 2 → 3 | Buff |
| Aerial Attunement (1xx) | Price $110 → $140 | Nerf |
| Zephyr Sense (2xx) | Price $215 → $175 | Buff |
| Wind Weaver (3xx) | Price $1,650 → $1,200 | Buff |
| Wind Weaver (3xx) | Stage 3 combo vacuum distance 150 → 250 | Buff |
| Gale Sage (4xx) | Price $3,300 → $3,000 | Buff |
| Gale Sage (4xx) | No longer stops other towers dealing bonus damage to Camo | Fix |
| Thundering Arc (x2x) | Pierce per interval 0.5 → 1 | Buff |
| Thundering Arc (x2x) | Damage type Energy → Plasma (can pop Lead) | Buff |
| Thundering Arc (x2x) | Blast radius 8 → 10 | Buff |
| Galvanic Conduit (x3x) | Price $1,800 → $2,500 | Nerf |
| Galvanic Conduit (x3x) | Lightning chain damage 5 → 3 | Nerf |
| Thunder’s Decree (x4x) | Price $2,000 → $3,500 | Nerf |
| Thunder’s Decree (x4x) | Ability duration 15s → 9s | Nerf |
| Stormwrath Archon (x5x) | Price $35,000 → $32,000 | Buff |
| Coldchain (xx3) | Reduces Blastapopoulos heat by 30 | Buff |
| Frozen Verdict (xx4) | Reduces Blastapopoulos heat by 100 | Buff |
| Winter’s Mercy (xx5) | Reduces Blastapopoulos heat by 500 | Buff |
| Winter’s Mercy (xx5) | Icesplosive damage 5 → 10 | Buff |
| Bottom path frozen remains | Damage from MOABs 25 → 50, DDTs 50 → 100, BFBs 75 → 150, ZOMGs 200 → 400 | Buff |
The Skywarden top path is now $790 cheaper from Zephyr Sense through Gale Sage. The middle path costs $2,200 more by Thunder’s Decree, and its ability lasts 9 seconds instead of 15. The Lead popping on Thundering Arc and the doubled frozen-remains damage on the bottom path are the changes you will notice most in normal games. The bottom path also gets a direct counter to Blastapopoulos heat.
Spike Factory
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Paragon (mini spike storm) | Mini spike bonus damage to MOAB-class 100 → 200 | Buff |
The Spike Factory Paragon mini spikes now deal double bonus damage to MOAB-class Bloons. Permaspike (xx5) is unchanged.
Monkey Village
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Call to Arms (x4x) | Can no longer activate while a Call to Arms or Homeland Defense buff is already active | Nerf |
| Homeland Defense (x5x) | Will no longer activate while a Homeland Defense buff is already active | Nerf |
This applies even after the buffing tower is sold. You can no longer chain several Call to Arms villages to stack or extend the buff.
Engineer Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Bloon Trap (xx4) | Base cash from Bloons popped by traps is paid immediately | Change |
| Bloon Trap (xx4) | Collecting a full trap now gives only the bonus cash | Change |
Quincy

| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Level 4 | New Focus toggle: precision shots at the first target, attack cooldown +25%, projectile speed +25%, range +20% | Buff |
Focus trades 25% attack speed for more range and accurate shots. Quincy can now play as a long-range single-target hero when the default spread is not what you need.
Admiral Brickell
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Pistol damage 3 → 2 (level 6 pistol damage unchanged) | Nerf |
| Level 3 | Naval Tactics attack cooldown modifier 0.5x → 0.66x | Nerf |
| Level 4 | All water towers in radius gain +1 pierce (was level 8) | Buff |
| Level 4 | No longer increases Sea Mine pierce (28 → 20) | Nerf |
| Level 7 | Blast chain mine delay multiplier 0.25 → 0.2 | Change |
| Level 8 | Naval Tactics applies to any water tower in radius | Buff |
| Level 10 | Mega Mine duration 150s → 120s (level 18 stays 150s) | Nerf |
| Level 14 | Naval Tactics also grants +1 damage | Buff |
| Level 16 | No longer grants Brickell range | Nerf |
| Level 16 | Naval Tactics attack cooldown modifier 0.66x → 0.5x | Buff |
Brickell is weaker on her own early, and her first Naval Tactics is weaker. In return, the water pierce bonus arrives four levels sooner and late Naval Tactics hits harder. She is now more clearly a water support hero.
Paragon degrees
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Extra tiers | Max power contribution 10,000 → 0 | Change |
| Cash | Max power contribution 60,000 → 80,000 | Buff |
| Damage | Max power contribution 90,000 → 125,000 | Buff |
Buying extra upgrade tiers no longer adds paragon power. Cash and damage now carry much more of the total. In practice, Degree 100 no longer depends on Geraldo’s Paragon Power Totems, and this applies to every paragon, not just S.P.I.D.E.R.
Boss Rush
For the Boss Rush rows, BUFF and NERF are from the player’s point of view.
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Island 1 goal | 850 → 250 | Buff |
| Island 2 goal | 1,175 → 500 | Buff |
| Island 3 goal | 1,850 → 1,100 | Buff |
| Island 4 goal | 2,850 → 3,000 | Nerf |
| Island 5 goal | 3,350 → 5,225 | Nerf |
| Blastapopoulos | Initial health 350 → 325, base speed 1.25 → 1.20, base cash reward 1,000 → 1,100 | Buff |
| Dreadbloon | Initial health 130 → 140 | Nerf |
| Bloonarius | Base speed 1.25 → 1.20 | Buff |
| Lych, Phayze, Diamondback | Base cash reward 1,000 → 1,100 | Buff |
The first three islands are now much easier to reach, so casual players will get more out of each Boss Rush event. The top two islands now take noticeably higher scores.
Quests, cosmetics and quality-of-life changes
Mastery Mode quest
A new three-part quest uses a beefed-up Mastery roundset. It takes the basic rounds and adds extra layers or fortification to every Bloon. The notes do not list rewards or round counts. Check our quest guides for walkthroughs.
Halloween, Trophy Store and Social Seasons items
- Halloween: a limited-time Halloween avatar that becomes available once the seasonal event starts.
- CT Team Store: Dracula (base prop), Flying Witch (flying prop), plus Halloween Skull and Broomstick icons.
- Trophy Store: Jiangshi Sauda Coffin (hero placement animation), Village Pirate Flag (monkey pet) and a Classic Sniper avatar. A new Random Selection toggle under Favourites picks a random set of your favourite cosmetics at the start of each game.
- Social Seasons: a Team Banner, a Camo Trap skin and an All Heroes placement animation.
- Store: a Sauda Hero Pack that unlocks Sauda with all her current skins and some related Trophy items.
Accessibility & Advanced Options
The Accessibility menu is renamed Accessibility & Advanced Options and gets three settings:
- Numerical ability timers: countdown numbers on top of your ability icons.
- Cash Spent counter: shows the total cash spent in most standard modes, including co-op.
- Memory Optimization: runs a memory cleanup at the end of each round with a brief pause. It is meant to cut memory use and crashes on mobile, which helps on long freeplay runs.
The tower info panel also has new Damage and Pops icons, and the advanced view lets you choose which of the two to show.
Monkey Knowledge toggles
You can now switch individual Monkey Knowledge points on and off. The menu button shows On, Off or Partly On, and the overview shows invested points in red if any are disabled. This is useful for testing strategies without knowledge or for matching a friend’s setup.
Legends, Map Editor and other changes
- Rogue Legends: Merchant tiles can re-roll their stock up to twice per tile for a Token fee. The new Window Shopping artifact restores a heart when you leave a merchant without buying, as long as your Tokens are below its threshold.
- Race tile banlist: Standard Race and Endurance Race tiles in Rogue Legends no longer use Glacial Trail, Dark Dungeons, Ravine, Tricky Tracks, Bloody Puddles or Erosion.
- Frontier Legends: Book Wyrm Etienne’s starter trait changes from Ricochet 4 to Attack Speed 4.
- Map Editor: the placeable limit goes from 1,000 to 1,500.
- Challenge Editor: map names now show beside the modes.
- Engine: the game moved to Unity 6.3, and Ninja Kiwi asks players to report any odd new issues.
Notable bug fixes
- Flat cost reduction Monkey Knowledge now calculates correctly outside Medium.
- Toggling Odyssey difficulty no longer deletes your save.
- Crashes fixed when sacrificing a tower linked to Techbot Pro, with 2xx Chainlink Techbot Prime, when the Jukebox changes song and when opening Custom Odyssey creation.
- Super Monkey Fan Club and Total Transformation no longer stack.
- Boomerang Paragon orbitals are no longer buffed by Extra Bounce.
- The 140 Glue Strike bonus now soaks through MOABs correctly.
- Accelerated Aerodarts now buffs the Ace Paragon’s frontal darts.
- Sun Temples no longer keep Permabrew after you sacrifice the Alchemist.
- Skywarden: Wind Weaver no longer knocks back Diamond or Retribution Bloons, Storm’s Pulse (x1x) now works, Thundering Arc no longer explodes early, and Coldchain applies Frozen correctly.
- The Sniper Paragon can no longer aim at the player.
- Brickell’s pistol is no longer buffed by More Splodey, and Rosalia’s Scatter Missile no longer benefits from Big Bloon Blueprints.
- In Contested Territory, Bigger Bloon Sabotage no longer affects Lych Souls, and Heartless Relic now applies to Lych’s healing.
- Lost Crevasse tracks were adjusted to better fit its difficulty.
- Android: fixed the “Step 5 of 10” launch softlock and a freeze when loading Frontier’s Sanctuary Overlook.
Still open: Tack Shooter dinos disappearing near the inferno ring are being investigated, but the cause has not been found yet.
Patches after v57.0
Version 57 got four small follow-up patches in October 2026. Dates below are approximate, based on when each build reached Android.
v57.1 (around 13 October 2026)
- Round 100 Insta reward tiers changed for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced maps.
- S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey’s damage against regular MOAB-class Bloons was corrected.
- Changed how regular Supply Drop Snipers get Lead popping.
- Fixed Skywarden Aerial Attunement’s interaction with heroes, plus some Lead, BAD and ability reactivation problems.
- Fixed inconsistent cash generation in some modes and rounds. Don’t count on income from unintended 57.0 interactions lasting.
- When offline, the Instas + Powers menu now opens on the Powers tab instead of Featured.
v57.2, v57.3 and v57.4 (mid to late October 2026)
Builds 57.2 (around 16 October), 57.3 (around 21 October) and 57.4 (around 26 October) followed. As of 4 November 2026, 57.4 is the newest Version 57 build. We have not confirmed any balance changes in these three patches, so we will update this section if official notes list any.
What Update 57 means for your games
- Stop buying extra tiers for paragon degrees. They now add nothing. Put the money into cash sacrifices and let damage build up, since both caps went up. Degree 100 no longer needs Geraldo totems on any paragon.
- Try Supply Drop in CHIMPS. The Ammo Drop gives the x4x Sniper real popping power where Cash Drop was useless, and it can pop every Bloon type while it is active.
- Grind the Featured tab instead of spending. Most Insta goals take a single game, so playing a few games every two weeks earns Instas for Monkey Money. Monkey Team runs now aim your round 100 reward at a specific tower.
- Rethink your Skywarden path. The top path is cheaper through tier 4, and Thundering Arc now pops Lead. The middle path’s Thunder’s Decree costs $1,500 more and its ability lasts 6 seconds less.
- Stop stacking Call to Arms. Strategies that cycled several x4x villages for constant buffs no longer work.
- Use Brickell with water towers from level 4. The pierce bonus now comes at level 4, but her own pistol is weaker, so she needs subs or boats around her.
Quick take: If you only change one habit after 57.0, change how you build paragon degrees. The new rules affect every paragon you own, not just the new Sniper one.
BTD6 Update 57 FAQ
When did BTD6 Update 57 come out?
Version 57.0 came out on October 6, 2026. Patches 57.1 to 57.4 followed during October.
What is new in BTD6 Update 57?
The main additions are the S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey Sniper Paragon, the Advanced map Ship Capture, the Insta Monkey v2 Featured tab, the Mastery Mode quest, the Accessibility & Advanced Options menu and new paragon degree rules. There are also balance changes for 11 towers, Quincy and Admiral Brickell.
Is S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey a paragon, and how do I get it?
Yes, S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey is the Sniper Monkey Paragon. First unlock all three Tier 5 Sniper upgrades and the paragon itself in the Sniper upgrade tree. Then, in a game, have a Cripple MOAB, an Elite Sniper and an Elite Defender on the field and buy the paragon from one of them.
How much does the Sniper Paragon cost?
S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey costs $800,000 on Medium. Using the standard difficulty scaling, that is $680,000 on Easy, $864,000 on Hard and $960,000 on Impoppable. Those prices do not include the three Tier 5 Snipers you need first.
How do Featured Insta Monkeys work?
The Featured tab shows the same 10 Insta deals to everyone, and they reset every two weeks. Nine are single Instas that you can buy with real money (3 copies) or unlock for Monkey Money by finishing a gameplay goal. The tenth is a random premade bundle. Random Insta packs are no longer sold.
When is the next BTD6 update?
As of 4 November 2026, Update 58 has not been released. Ninja Kiwi calls it “an ambitious end of year update”, so expect it around December 2026, though no exact date has been given. The planned features are a new Monkey tower, Mod System v1 (including hero and round modding), more than 10 new Monkey Knowledge points with a higher player level cap, and the MOAB Mine Powers Pro. On consoles, Ninja Kiwi plans to ship every second update, with v58 aimed at the first quarter of 2027.
