Sun Temple

Sun Temple turns the Super Monkey into a building with a sunbeam that pops every bloon type, deals 5 damage with 20 pierce and fires every 0.05 seconds. It gains +15 range and a much larger footprint (a 37 by 40 rectangle instead of a small circle). When you buy it, every tower in the Sun Avatar's range is sacrificed except Heroes, Paragons and Powers, and the cash value of those towers decides the Temple's extra attacks and buffs.

How sacrifices work

Each tower category (Primary, Military, Magic, Support) is tracked separately. A category starts giving benefits at $10,001, improves every $5,000 and maxes out at $50,001. A Sun Temple only uses the three categories with the highest value, so choose one to skip:

• Pure damage: Primary, Magic and Support.
• Multi-temple setups: one Temple with Primary, Military and Magic for damage, plus one Support Temple with Primary, Magic and Support.
• Military sacrifices add missile attacks with long range, useful against bosses that stun nearby towers.

If money is tight, partial Support sacrifices are still worth it: $15,001 gives a 10% upgrade discount, $35,001 adds +1 damage, $40,001 raises the discount to 20%, and $45,001 maxes the end-of-round income at $5,000. The sacrificed cash does not raise the Temple's sell value.

When to buy it

In normal games, late game and freeplay. Place Heroes, Paragons or other unsacrificable towers next to the Avatar beforehand to use the space the footprint will take.

Is it worth it?

Yes, for late game, freeplay and boss events where you have the cash. It is one of the strongest tier 4s in the game once sacrifices are maxed.
