Sword of Power

The Sword of Power is He-Man's premium Power, added in version 55.0 alongside the He-Man content of the Masters of the Universe collaboration. His sword falls from the sky and keeps releasing surges of power that pop Bloons and build up a Mana Shield, a buffer that protects your lives. Like the other premium Powers, it is not sold for Monkey Money in the main version of BTD6.

What the Sword of Power does

• The sword drops onto the map and stays active for a while after you use it.
• It regularly releases a surge of power that pops Bloons.
• Each surge also generates Mana Shield. Mana Shield absorbs lives you would lose to leaks before your real lives are touched, the same kind of shield the Mana Shield Monkey Knowledge gives.
• While it is active, the He-Man and She-Ra hero skins attack faster.

That combination makes it a defensive Power: it adds damage and, at the same time, gives you a safety net against small leaks.

How to get the Sword of Power

• Free: the He-Man Has The Power! Quest gives 5 Swords of Power, along with 5 each of the other three premium Powers.
• Shop packs: the He-Man Booster Pack, the He-Man Prestige Pack and the Masters of the Universe Booster Pack each include 30.
• BTD6+ and the Netflix version: these versions have no shop, so premium Powers are bought with Monkey Money instead.

The He-Man Prestige Pack also unlocks the hero Dan D'Monke and his Prince Adam skin, who becomes He-Man.

Best times to use it

• Rounds where you expect a few leaks. The Mana Shield it builds can absorb lives that would otherwise end a run, so use it before a round you are not sure your defence can hold.
• Long, dense rounds. Repeated surges keep popping Bloons for as long as the sword is active, so use it at the start of a heavy round like 63, 76 or 78 rather than at the very end.
• With the He-Man or She-Ra skin on the map. Their faster attacks add to the value.

It is not a replacement for real blimp damage on the hardest late rounds. Treat it as support and insurance.

Best combos

• Prince Adam (He-Man) skin. Attacks faster while the sword is active.
• She-Ra skin for Adora. Also attacks faster during the Power.
• Sword of Protection. She-Ra's sword shortens the ability cooldowns of the same two skins, so the two swords together buff both heroes.
• Mana Shield Monkey Knowledge. Both build the same kind of shield, giving you more room for leaks.

Where you can't use it

• Disabled in CHIMPS, Races and ranked Boss Events.
• Disabled in challenges and Quests that turn Powers off, and in the editors' test mode.
• Contested Territory only allows Powers from Relics, and there is no Relic for it.
• In Odyssey only equipped Powers can be used.

Is it worth the money?

Use the five free copies from He-Man Has The Power! on hard medals where a few leaked lives could cost you the run. That is where the Mana Shield matters most.

Buying it is not necessary. No medal needs a premium Power, and normal Powers like Monkey Boost and MOAB Mine cover most emergencies for Monkey Money. If you want the He-Man skin anyway, the Prestige Pack includes 30 Swords as a bonus.
