Aeronautic Subsidy

Aeronautic Subsidy is a fifth-row Military knowledge that makes the three Monkey Ace tier 5 upgrades, Sky Shredder, Tsar Bomba and Flying Fortress, 10% cheaper. You need 8 Knowledge Points in the Military tree, Gun Coolant and a one-time 500 Monkey Money. It unlocks Wingmonkey and, together with Door Gunner, Advanced Logistics.

How it changes the game

Monkey Ace tier 5s are among the most expensive upgrades in the game, so 10% off is a large amount of cash in absolute terms, typically several thousand dollars per upgrade on Medium:

• Sky Shredder (5-x-x): a strong late-game damage tower for dense rounds; the discount brings it a round or two earlier.
• Tsar Bomba (x-5-x): its activated ability wipes huge numbers of bloons and damages blimps. Getting it earlier can save a difficult round.
• Flying Fortress (x-x-5): the most expensive of the three and a popular late-game damage carry, so it gets the biggest saving.

Only the tier 5 upgrade itself is discounted. Tiers 1 to 4, the base tower and the Goliath Doomship Paragon are unaffected. The discount stacks with other discounts such as Monkey Village's Monkey Commerce upgrades, which reduce the cost of upgrades in their range.

A note for Paragon and True Sun God players: price discounts reduce the cash you actually spend, which can matter when you count sacrifice values exactly.

Is it worth it?

Priority: good. If you use Ace tier 5s in late-game, Boss Events or freeplay, it saves real money. If you never build them, its value is purely as the route to Advanced Logistics, which reduces the base cost of every Military tower by 5% and is one of the best Military knowledges.

Among fifth-row Military nodes, it is roughly on par with Charged Chinooks (the other half of the Advanced Logistics route) and ahead of Budget Battery and Wingmonkey.

Where it works

Aeronautic Subsidy is active wherever Monkey Knowledge is enabled, on every difficulty, including Military Only and Impoppable. It is disabled in CHIMPS and in challenges that switch knowledge off, so tier 5 Ace timings in CHIMPS use full prices.
