Rosalia

Rosalia rewards active play. Switching weapons at the right time and moving her to where the bloons are turns an average hero into one of the most flexible damage sources in the game.

When to pick Rosalia

Pick Rosalia when:

• The map has one active lane at a time. Maps with alternating lanes such as Chutes, Bazaar and Muddy Puddles let you move her to whichever lane is active.
• Your defence uses Monkey Aces or Heli Pilots. The 10% discount and the 30% speed boost from Flight Boost add up quickly on an air-based defence.
• You need both single-target and area damage from one hero. Lasers for blimps, grenades for groups.
• Space is tight. From level 7 she hovers and takes up no footprint, so she does not block tower spots.

Skip her on maps where several lanes are active at once (Workshop and Bloody Puddles are bad examples) or if you do not want to manage weapon switching. She also needs camo support.

Leveling and power spikes

She uses a moderate XP scale (1.425x), so place her early.

1. Level 2 to 3: grenades and Scatter Missile. She can now handle grouped early rounds.
2. Level 4 to 5: Adrenaline Rush and enhanced shots. Every 10th laser is a stronger shot that deals plasma damage, knocks back and shocks; every 10th grenade volley fires three grenades.
3. Level 6 to 7: air tower discounts, Flight Boost and the no-footprint jetpack.
4. Level 8: laser deals 10 damage to MOAB-class bloons.
5. Level 10: Kinetic Charge, her best answer to tough blimps.
6. Level 12 to 13: grenades bounce up to 4 times, lasers deal 10 damage and then become plasma, which pops Lead.
7. Level 15 to 19: laser MOAB damage rises to 35 and then 60 per hit, grenades get bonus ceramic damage and bigger clusters, cooldowns drop.
8. Level 20: Scatter Missile fires 90 missiles three times faster and Kinetic Charge hits much harder.

To level faster, use Monkey Education, Self Taught Heroes and Monkeys Together Strong, and keep her workshop near an Energizer (Monkey Sub 5-0-0) for 50% faster XP. You can also buy levels with cash.

Best tower combos

• Monkey Ace and Heli Pilot. Her discount applies to the base price and upgrades of aircraft in her workshop's range, and Flight Boost speeds them up by 30% for 20 seconds. Heli Pilots on Pursuit and Monkey Aces such as Sky Shredder or Flying Fortress pair naturally with her.
• Super Monkey Tech Terror (x-4-x). At level 20, The Anti-Bloon costs 30% less if the Tech Terror is in her workshop's range.
• Monkey Village with Radar Scanner (x-2-x). Camo detection, plus range buffs, which also extend how far you can move her from her workshop.
• Alchemist (4-2-0). Extra damage on her laser and grenades.
• Black Bloon cover. Her grenades and missiles cannot pop Black properties. A laser or a tower with normal damage handles Zebras and Blacks.

Best maps

• Alternating-lane maps such as Chutes, Bazaar and Muddy Puddles, where she can fly to the active lane.
• Single-lane maps where her workshop covers most of the track. Her workshop range is wide, so one placement can cover a long stretch.
• Maps with little open land. From level 7 she can sit anywhere within her workshop's range.

Avoid maps with many lanes active at the same time, such as Workshop and Bloody Puddles. She can only be in one place.

Rosalia in CHIMPS

She costs $945 on Hard, so she cannot be your round 6 opener. Place her once your first towers are up. She is a solid all-round CHIMPS hero: grenades clean up early groups, lasers and Kinetic Charge deal with blimps, and Scatter Missile stuns help on ceramic rushes.

Plan camo and Lead coverage early, since her normal lasers cannot pop Lead before level 13. Remember that Monkey Knowledge is off in CHIMPS, so More 'Splody and the XP boosts are not available.

Rosalia in Impoppable and boss events

In Impoppable she costs $1,050. Monkey Knowledge is on, so Empowered Heroes gets Scatter Missile ready immediately. Her flexibility helps cover the leaks that end Impoppable runs.

In Boss Events her laser with high MOAB damage is good single-target DPS, and Kinetic Charge adds a big burst. Pair her with an air-based defence for the most value.

Abilities: when to use them

Scatter Missile (level 3). Her workshop fires a stream of missiles at the area around her current target. Each missile explodes and stuns non-MOAB bloons for 1 second. It fires 20 missiles at first, 30 from level 9 and 90 at level 20, with more damage and MOAB damage from level 14. Cooldown is 45 seconds, 30 from level 16. Use it on dense groups and ceramic rushes, aimed with her targeting priority.

Flight Boost (level 7). For 20 seconds she leaves her spot, chases bloons anywhere on the map and uses both weapons at the same time, while nearby Monkey Aces and Heli Pilots fly 30% faster. Cooldown is 45 seconds, 25 from level 18. Use it when bloons slip past her range or when an air tower needs to catch up with a blimp.

Kinetic Charge (level 10). Sends a drone that latches onto a MOAB-class bloon. It detonates after 10 seconds or when enough damage builds up, dealing 1,500 base damage plus the damage the blimp took while the drone was attached (up to 6,000 in total) to everything nearby. Cooldown is 75 seconds and drops at level 16. Use it on the strongest blimp right as your main damage starts hitting it, so the extra damage feeds the explosion. With camo detection it can target DDTs.

Skins

Rosalia's skins are cosmetic only and do not change her stats.

Common mistakes

• Moving her mid-fight. She cannot attack while flying to a new spot, and repositioning resets her attack.
• Never switching weapons. Use grenades on groups and the laser on blimps and single strong bloons.
• No camo or Black Bloon plan. She has no camo detection, and her explosive weapons cannot pop Blacks.
• Using Kinetic Charge on a weak blimp. Save it for BFBs, ZOMGs and anything your defence struggles with.
• Picking her for multi-lane maps where she cannot be everywhere.

Is Rosalia good in CHIMPS?

Yes. She is a flexible all-rounder for CHIMPS on single-lane and alternating-lane maps, as long as you cover camo and early Lead.

Does Rosalia have camo detection?

No. Give her a Radar Scanner Village or another camo source.

Can Rosalia pop Lead Bloons?

Her grenades can, and her enhanced lasers can from level 5. Her normal lasers only pop Lead from level 13, when they become plasma.

What does Rosalia do for Monkey Aces and Heli Pilots?
