Tier 2 upgrade

Pursuit

Pursuit lets the Heli Pilot automatically fly in front of the farthest bloon. When it helps, how it works with Patrol Points, and when to skip it.

A new targeting option enables Heli to seek and pursue the Bloons automatically.

How to use Pursuit

Pursuit adds a new targeting mode. When selected, the Heli automatically flies to just ahead of the bloon that is farthest along the track, so it is always fighting the most dangerous bloon without you steering it. If you use Patrol Points, the Heli switches to Pursuit behavior whenever bloons are between the two points.

When to buy it

Pursuit is mostly a convenience upgrade. It does not add damage, but it frees your attention for other towers and abilities. It works best on maps where bloons come down one lane at a time. On maps with several lanes active together, the Heli tends to chase between them and lose damage.

As a crosspath, 2-0-x is optional on Comanche builds when you want hands-free movement. On the top path it is required for Razor Rotors, and with Razor Rotors the Pursuit mode moves the Heli even closer to the bloons so the rotor aura can hit them.

Is it worth it?

Cheap at $500 and very handy if you dislike micromanaging the Heli. If you are comfortable with Lock in Place and Patrol Points, Quad Darts with Faster Firing or Bigger Jets usually adds more value as crosspaths.
