Razor Rotors

Razor Rotors gives the Heli a spinning blade aura around it. The aura has a 35-unit radius and hits for 2 damage with 10 pierce every 0.45 seconds. It uses the Normal damage type, so it can pop lead, black, white and frozen bloons. With this upgrade, Pursuit targeting also pulls the Heli closer to the bloons so the rotors stay in range.

When to buy it

Razor Rotors costs $1,450 on Medium and is a good early mid-game carry on maps where bloons come down one lane at a time. Because the Heli can fly anywhere, it has no range problems and cleans up small groups well.

Common crosspaths:

• 3-0-2: Faster Firing makes the rotors and darts attack faster. The usual choice.
• 3-2-0: IFR adds camo detection, needed if you have no other camo source.

Set it to Pursuit for easy play, or use Patrol Points to make it guard one lane at a time.

It struggles against dense groups since the aura only has 10 pierce, and it falls off hard on maps where several lanes run at once.
