Downdraft

Downdraft gives the Heli an aura that deals no damage but blows bloons backward along the track, between 32 and 150 units each time. It triggers every 0.18 seconds with 2 pierce, and ceramics use up 2 pierce each. It cannot move MOAB-class bloons or lead bloons, and bloons that get blown back lose any glue or freeze effect.

When to buy it

Downdraft is a support tower, not a damage dealer. It shines when you need to stall:

• Managing the children of early MOABs and keeping ceramics from leaking in the mid-game.
• Boss events with stalling objectives, especially Least Tiers.
• Late CHIMPS rounds, as a global ceramic stall, though it is pricier than some alternatives.

Crosspaths:

• 0-3-0: usually enough.
• 0-3-2: Faster Firing increases the blowback rate when you need more stall.
• 2-3-0: only adds Pursuit for convenience.

Note that Quad Darts does nothing for the blowback.

Is it worth it?

As a stall tool, yes. It pairs well with damage towers that need more time. Remember that it removes glue and freeze, so do not rely on it alongside glue or ice slows on the same bloons.
