Quad Darts

Quad Darts adds a second dart attack that fires at the same time as the original one, so the Heli now shoots 4 darts per shot instead of 2. Damage, pierce and attack speed stay the same, so in practice it doubles the main dart output. With Comanche Defense, it also raises the mini Comanches' darts from 3 to 5 per shot.

One detail: because it is technically a separate attack, buffs that count shots, such as Berserker Brew, treat each volley as two shots.

When to buy it

Quad Darts is usually the first upgrade a Heli gets. It is cheaper than placing a second Heli and gives a big jump in both single-target and group damage.

As a crosspath, it is the preferred top-path pick for nearly every Heli build:

• 1-0-4 and 1-0-5 (Comanche Defense, Comanche Commander): more darts on the main Heli and the minis.
• x-0-2 combos with Faster Firing: more darts at a higher rate.

The exceptions are Downdraft builds, since the blowback does not benefit from it, Special Poperations, where the Marine gains little, and MOAB Shove, which usually takes Bigger Jets instead.

Is it worth it?

For almost every Heli, yes. It is the most efficient early damage upgrade on the tower and leads into Pursuit and Razor Rotors on the top path.
