How to use Faster Darts
Faster Darts increases the speed and lifespan of the Heli's main darts and raises its range by 30%, from 42 to about 55 units. Other weapons, like rockets, rotors and missiles, do not get the speed or range boost.
When to buy it
On its own, Faster Darts barely changes the Heli's damage. Its real purpose is to unlock Faster Firing, the tier 2 upgrade that speeds up every attack. Treat the two as a single purchase.
The x-x-2 crosspath (Faster Darts plus Faster Firing) is the default for most Heli builds:
- 3-0-2, 4-0-2, 5-0-2: Razor Rotors, Apache Dartship and Apache Prime.
- 0-3-2, 0-4-2, 0-5-2: Downdraft, Support Chinook and Special Poperations.
The extra range can help a little on maps where the Heli is locked in one spot or patrols two points.
It is also the first step toward MOAB Shove, Comanche Defense and Comanche Commander on the bottom path.
Is it worth it?
Only as part of the route to Faster Firing or MOAB Shove. Never buy it expecting a damage boost by itself.
