How to use Faster Firing
Faster Firing cuts the cooldown of every Heli Pilot attack by 20%, which means 25% more attacks per second. It affects all weapons, including ones added by other upgrades: razor rotors, the Apache machine gun and rockets, the downdraft, and the Monkey Marine from Special Poperations.
When to buy it
Faster Firing is weak on a plain Heli and should not be your first upgrade. Once the tower has a real path, it becomes the preferred crosspath for nearly every Heli outside of Least Tiers challenges:
- Top path (3-0-2, 4-0-2, 5-0-2): more rotor hits, darts, machine gun bullets and rockets.
- Middle path (0-3-2, 0-4-2, 0-5-2): more frequent blowback, faster Marine fire.
Together with Faster Darts, the pair costs $600 on Medium, cheap compared with the 25% boost to towers worth tens of thousands.
It also leads into MOAB Shove on the bottom path.
Is it worth it?
Yes. On any Heli going to tier 4 or 5 on the top or middle path, Faster Firing is almost always the right crosspath. The only common exceptions are Least Tiers runs, where every upgrade tier counts against you.
