Comanche Defense

Comanche Defense calls in mini Comanche helicopters when bloons reach set points on the track: one at 25%, a second at 50% and a third at 75%. Each threshold triggers once per round, and existing minis count toward the total. Each mini lasts 15 seconds, flies faster than the main Heli and has two weapons: darts (3 per shot, or 5 with Quad Darts) dealing 1 damage with 4 pierce every 0.228 seconds, and rockets dealing 4 explosive damage, +2 to ceramics, with 60 pierce every 3 seconds.

The main Heli also improves. Its darts go from 1 to 2 damage, and its MOAB Shove missile goes from 2 to 3 damage, from 10 to 30 pierce and fires three times as fast. The shove itself becomes stronger and can now slow ZOMGs.

When to buy it

Comanche Defense is a good mid-game DPS tower when you manage the timing of the minis. It also turns the shove into a useful tool against single ZOMGs, like those on rounds 80, 85, 87 and 97.

Crosspaths:

• 1-0-4: Quad Darts adds more darts on the Heli and the minis. The usual pick.
• 0-1-4 or 0-2-4: Bigger Jets for a stronger shove, IFR for camo.

Heroes that buff it, such as Geraldo and Gwendolin, help a lot.

Is it worth it?

Yes, as a step toward Comanche Commander and as a flexible blimp control tower. On its own, damage is inconsistent because the minis only appear when bloons push far enough down the track.
