Beginner map
Winter Park
Info
Winter Park is a snowy Beginner map added in Version 14.0, in the same update as the hero Adora and the Intermediate map Adora's Temple. It is a park in the snow with a fountain in the middle, benches on either side and potted plants.
The path has four loops. Bloons enter from the top left, go around each loop in turn, and leave at the top right, so the exit is close to the start. There is one entrance and one exit, and the track is 41.05 RBS long (about 1,128 range units), an average length for a Beginner map. The layout resembles the BTD5 map The Rink, but with four loops instead of three, water in the middle and the exit next to the start.
The fountain in the centre of the map counts as water and fits Monkey Buccaneers and Monkey Subs. Its central position is a big deal: water towers placed there are close to several parts of the track. Nothing on the map blocks line of sight. The benches and potted plants are purely decoration and do not affect tower placement or vision. There is no high ground and there are no removable objects.
The loops are ideal for short-range towers that use their whole range circle, such as Tack Shooters, Ice Monkeys and Pat Fusty. A tower placed inside a loop, close to where the path meets itself, hits bloons all the way around.
Compared with similar maps like In The Loop or Four Circle, Winter Park has a bit less track where bloons loop back near the same tower, so it is slightly more awkward for building one central kill zone. In exchange, the central fountain gives water strategies a strong early game, and popular Beginner-map CHIMPS strategies such as Apache Prime and Perma-Spike still work well.
How to beat Winter Park
Map overview for strategy
Winter Park is a friendly map. The four loops are perfect for zone towers, the fountain gives Subs and boats a central spot, and nothing blocks vision. The only awkward part is that there are fewer places where one tower sees the path come back several times, so you may need to spread damage across two loops.
Inside a loop is the best spot for an Overdrive or Tack Zone Tack Shooter, because all 360 degrees of its tacks can hit bloons. Placing it close to the point where the loop meets the main path helps it catch blimps too. Monkey Subs in the fountain are strong from the very first rounds. Because the exit sits next to the entrance, towers placed near the start of the track also cover the end, which gives you a free second chance at anything that slips through the loops.
Best towers
- Tack Shooter 2-0-4 (Overdrive) or 2-0-5 (The Tack Zone) inside a loop near the crossing.
- Ice Monkey 4-0-1 inside a loop.
- Monkey Sub 2-0-4 in the fountain, effective from the early game.
- Monkey Buccaneer 3-2-0 in the fountain.
- Ninja Monkey 4-0-1 and 2-0-4.
- Alchemist 4-2-0.
- Heli Pilot 5-0-2 (Apache Prime) and Spike Factory 2-0-5 (Perma-Spike): both standard Beginner-map CHIMPS finishers that work here.
- Monkey Village 2-2-0.
Best heroes
- Pat Fusty: he can go in the water and his short range suits the loops.
- Admiral Brickell: strong with Subs and boats in the fountain.
- Sauda: inside a loop she hits bloons all the way around.
- Quincy: cheap and dependable.
Easy and Medium
A Sub in the fountain and a Dart Monkey near the entrance carry the first rounds. Add a Tack Shooter inside a loop, a Ninja for camo and an Alchemist for leads. An Overdrive Tack and a 2-0-4 Sub win Medium.
Hard
Farm two or three Banana Farms. Build a Tack and Ninja inside one loop with an Alchemist, two 2-0-4 Subs in the fountain and a 2-2-0 Village. Add Sticky Bombs or Monkey Pirates for the BFBs, and a Perma-Spike near the exit.
CHIMPS
- Rounds 1 to 6: a Monkey Sub in the fountain and a Dart Monkey near the entrance, or your hero inside the first loop.
- Rounds 7 to 18: Sub to 2-0-0, then a Tack Shooter inside a loop (2-0-2). A Ninja for camo before round 24.
- Rounds 19 to 30: an Alchemist next to the Ninja and Tack for the round 28 leads. Sub to 2-0-3.
- Rounds 31 to 45: Ninja to 4-0-1, Alchemist to 3-2-0, Tack to 2-0-4, Sub to 2-0-4.
- Rounds 46 to 63: a 2-2-0 Village, a Sticky Bomb Ninja by round 60, and a second Tack or Ice Monkey in another loop for round 63.
- Rounds 64 to 80: Alchemist to 4-2-0, a Heli Pilot towards 4-0-2 Apache Dartship, and a Spike Factory near the exit.
- Rounds 81 to 100: Apache Prime (5-0-2) and Perma-Spike (2-0-5) as your finishers, or a Sub Commander in the fountain, plus extra Sticky Bombs for 98 to 100.
Impoppable
Farm in the open snow, then follow the CHIMPS core. Apache Prime plus Perma-Spike is a strong Impoppable finish.
Other modes
- Deflation: Overdrive Tacks in the loops and Subs in the fountain.
- Primary Only: Tacks and Ice Monkeys in the loops are ideal.
- Military Only: Subs in the fountain and Heli Pilots.
- Apopalypse: loop towers handle constant waves well.
Dangerous rounds on this map
- Round 24: one camo green. Tacks and Subs need a Ninja or radar.
- Round 28: six leads. Overdrive Tacks cannot pop them.
- Round 40: the first MOAB. Subs and an Alchemist-buffed Ninja handle it.
- Round 63: 122 dense ceramics. Spread damage over at least two loops.
- Round 76: 60 regrow ceramics.
- Round 78: camo ceramics and purples. Purples resist fire, energy and plasma.
- Round 95: camo regrow purples and fortified leads, then MOABs and DDTs.
- Round 98: 30 fortified BFBs and 8 ZOMGs. Apache Prime and Sticky Bombs carry this round.
- Round 99: 60 MOABs and 9 fortified DDTs.
- Round 100: one BAD that ignores slows.

Frequently asked questions
Does Winter Park have water?
Yes, the fountain in the middle of the map fits Subs and Buccaneers.
What is the best hero for Winter Park?
Pat Fusty and Sauda suit the loops. Brickell is great with a water build.
How do you beat Winter Park CHIMPS?
Start with a Sub in the fountain, add a Tack and Ninja inside a loop and an Alchemist, then a Village and Sticky Bombs. Finish with Apache Prime and Perma-Spike.
Where should I place Tack Shooters on Winter Park?
Inside a loop, close to where the loop meets the path, so all of its tacks can hit bloons.
How much Monkey Money does Winter Park give?
First-time medals pay 75, 125, 200 and 300 Monkey Money for the Easy, Medium, Hard and Impoppable/CHIMPS tiers. Replays pay one fifth.
Is Winter Park good for Apache Prime and Perma-Spike?
Yes. Both classic Beginner-map finishers work well because the map is open and has a single path.
