Strike Down The False

Strike Down The False is a third-row Magic knowledge that lets the Super Monkey's Sun Avatar damage Purple Bloons. You need 4 Knowledge Points in the Magic tree and Heavy Knockback. It costs one point, no Monkey Money, and unlocks X-Ray Ultra.

How it changes the game

Purple Bloons are immune to energy, fire and plasma attacks, which includes the Sun Avatar's sunbeams. A Sun Avatar (3-x-x Super Monkey) is a strong mid-game tower, but purple-heavy rounds force you to add a separate answer. With this knowledge:

• Sun Avatar handles purples: a 3-0-2 or 3-2-0 Sun Avatar no longer needs support to deal with Purple Bloons. That frees money for Monkey Villages or a second damage tower.
• Mini Sun Avatars: when a Sun Temple or True Sun God has sacrificed $50,000 or more worth of Magic towers, it creates mini Sun Avatars. Those also pop Purple Bloons with the knowledge.
• Mid-game Obyn and Super Monkey strategies: many popular approaches build a Sun Avatar as the main damage in the mid game, and purple rounds stop being a problem point.

Sun Temple and True Sun God themselves already pop Purple Bloons, so they gain nothing directly. Other Super Monkey paths are unaffected.

Is it worth it?

Priority: good. For any player who uses Sun Avatar, it removes one of its few weaknesses for one point and no Monkey Money. Purple Bloons appear in several late rounds and freeplay, so the benefit is real even if you never think about it.

It also leads to X-Ray Ultra and then There Can Be Only One, the knowledge that enables the Vengeful True Sun God. Since version 30, There Can Be Only One sits below X-Ray Ultra rather than directly below Strike Down The False.

Among third-row Magic nodes, it ranks with Flame Jet (route to Mana Shield) as one of the best picks.

Where it works

Strike Down The False is active wherever Monkey Knowledge is enabled, including Magic Monkeys Only, Impoppable and freeplay. It is disabled in CHIMPS and in challenges that switch knowledge off, so a CHIMPS Sun Avatar still needs another answer for Purple Bloons.
