Bigger Camo Trap

Bigger Camo Trap lets each Camo Trap remove the camo property from 600 bloons instead of 500. It is one of the three top-row knowledges in the Powers tree, so it has no prerequisite and costs a single Knowledge Point with no Monkey Money.

The Camo Trap is a Power you place on the track. Every camo bloon that touches it loses its camo, so towers without camo detection can see and pop it. Each purchase gives you two traps, and each trap works until it has decamoed its limit.

How it changes the game

A 20% bigger trap means it lasts a little longer on camo-heavy rounds before it runs out. That can be useful on rounds with dense camo groups, where a 500-bloon trap might be used up before the end of the round.

In practice, the difference rarely matters:

• Most players solve camo with towers (a Monkey Village with radar, a 0-3-0 Engineer's Cleansing Foam, Ninja Monkeys and many heroes) rather than with a consumable Power.
• When you do use a Camo Trap, it is usually as an emergency fix for one round, and 500 bloons is already enough for most single rounds.
• On the biggest camo rounds of the late game you need a permanent detection source anyway, so a slightly bigger trap does not change your plan.

The knowledge has no effect in games where you do not place Camo Traps, which for most players is almost every game.

Is it worth it?

Priority: skip, except as a gateway. Bigger Camo Trap is one of the weakest knowledges in the game. The only reason to buy it is that it starts the left branch of the Powers tree: Mauling MOAB Mines, then Supersize Glue Trap and Ambush Tech.

Among the top-row Powers knowledge, Just One More is the better first pick because it leads to Pre-Game Prep, the most useful knowledge in the Powers tree. Cheaper Lakes leads to Powerful Monkey Storm. Bigger Camo Trap is usually the last of the three.

Where it works

This knowledge only matters where both Monkey Knowledge and Powers are allowed. Powers cannot be used in CHIMPS, Races or ranked Boss Events, and challenge creators can disable them. In Contested Territory, MK is only active on regular tiles. Rogue Legends never uses MK.
