Powerful Monkey Storm

Powerful Monkey Storm raises the damage of the Super Monkey Storm power from 4,000 to 5,000 against every bloon on screen. It is a third-row Powers knowledge that needs 3 points in the Powers tree plus both Budget Pontoons and Longer Boosts, and costs one Knowledge Point with no Monkey Money. The bonus was raised from +300 to +1,000 in version 46. It does not affect the Super Monkey Beacon power.

How it changes the game

Super Monkey Storm is the classic panic button: a squadron flies across the screen and hits every bloon at once. Normal bloons are wiped out. Against MOAB-class bloons, the damage only hits the outer layer and does not carry through to the children.

Before round 80, 4,000 damage already strips the outer layer of a MOAB, BFB, ZOMG or DDT, so the knowledge rarely changes the result there. Where the extra 1,000 helps:

• Early freeplay. After round 80, blimp health keeps rising each round. With 5,000 damage, the storm can still remove a normal ZOMG layer for several rounds after the base version stops doing so.
• Fortified and damaged blimps. A fortified blimp has more health, and a blimp your towers have already damaged is more likely to die to 5,000.
• BADs. One storm cannot kill a BAD, but 25% more damage takes a bigger chunk off it.

It does nothing in games where you do not use the storm.

Is it worth it?

Priority: good for storm users. If Super Monkey Storm is your emergency Power, the 25% damage boost is a real upgrade, especially in freeplay and on hard late rounds. If you never use it, the knowledge is only a step toward Fit Farmers, and from there Supa-Thrive, Budget Cash Drops and Grand Prix Spree.

Where it works

This knowledge only matters where both Monkey Knowledge and Powers are allowed. Powers cannot be used in CHIMPS, Races or ranked Boss Events, and challenge creators can disable them. In Contested Territory, MK is only active on regular tiles. Rogue Legends never uses MK.
