Deadly Tranquility
Deadly Tranquility in BTD6: Bloonjitsu throws 6 shurikens, Grandmaster Ninja and Ascended Shadow 9. One of the best Ninja knowledges.
Bloonjitsu and Grandmaster Ninja get an extra shuriken per throw.*
Guide
Deadly Tranquility is a fifth-row Magic knowledge that adds one extra projectile to every multi-projectile attack of Bloonjitsu, Grandmaster Ninja and the Ascended Shadow Paragon. You need 8 Knowledge Points in the Magic tree, Diversion Tactics and a one-time 500 Monkey Money. Together with Vine Rupture, it unlocks Tiny Tornadoes.
How it changes the game
The top-path Ninja deals its damage through volleys of shurikens. One more per volley is a straight damage increase:
- Bloonjitsu (4-x-x): 6 shurikens per throw instead of 5, a 20% increase.
- Grandmaster Ninja (5-x-x): 9 shurikens per throw instead of 8, about 12.5% more.
- Ascended Shadow (Paragon): 9 shurikens per main attack instead of 8. Its flash bomb attack throws 6 bombs instead of 5, and each bomb releases 4 shurikens instead of 3 when it explodes.
Because every shuriken keeps the Ninja's pierce and damage buffs, the extra one benefits fully from Alchemist potions, Monkey Village support and nearby Shinobi Tactics Ninjas. In Boss Events, a stronger Ascended Shadow is a meaningful edge.
Ninjas below tier 4 on the top path, and the other Ninja paths, are not affected. The knowledge does not change attack speed.
Is it worth it?
Priority: good, and a must-have for Ninja players. It is one of the larger single-knowledge damage boosts in the Magic tree, and the top-path Ninja is a common late-game carry thanks to its built-in camo detection. If you use Grandmaster Ninja or the Ascended Shadow, buy it as soon as you can afford the 500 Monkey Money.
For players who rarely use Ninjas, it is still a step toward Tiny Tornadoes, but that is a niche knowledge. Compared with the other fifth-row Magic nodes, Vine Rupture and There Can Be Only One, Deadly Tranquility has the widest everyday use.
On Grandmaster Ninja, the shuriken count is the main source of damage, so this single point is worth roughly as much as a modest attack speed buff, at no in-game cost.
Where it works
Deadly Tranquility is active wherever Monkey Knowledge is enabled, including Magic Monkeys Only, Impoppable, freeplay and Boss Events. It is disabled in CHIMPS and in challenges that switch knowledge off.
