Just One More

Just One More in BTD6 gives each Road Spikes pile 21 spikes instead of 20. What it affects, what it does not, and why it leads to Pre-Game Prep.

Road Spike piles have 21 spikes in them.

In-game description

Guide

Just One More adds one spike to every pile of Road Spikes, so each pile pops 21 bloons instead of 20. It is a top-row Powers knowledge with no prerequisite and costs a single Knowledge Point and no Monkey Money.

Road Spikes is a Power you place on the track. Each pile pops bloons that run into it, including Lead and camo bloons, until its spikes are used up. Each purchase gives you five piles.

How it changes the game

One more spike per pile is a 5% boost. Across a five-pile purchase that is five extra pops. In the very early rounds, where each bloon is a single layer, that can mean one more red or blue bloon stopped per pile. Later on, five extra pops are almost meaningless.

Two things it does not do:

  • It does not affect the piles placed by Pre-Game Prep. Those always have 20 spikes.
  • It does not affect Spike Factory piles. That is the Support knowledge One More Spike, which is often confused with this one.

If you use Road Spikes as an emergency button against a leak, the extra spike is a tiny bonus, but the decision to use the Power matters far more than the knowledge. Place the piles just after your main kill zone so they only catch what your towers missed.

Is it worth it?

Priority: situational, but you should buy it early. The effect is minor, but Just One More starts the most useful branch of the Powers tree: Longer Time Stop, then Longer Boosts, then Pre-Game Prep, which gives you free permanent Road Spikes at every exit in every game.

Among the top-row Powers knowledge, it is the best first pick for that reason. Cheaper Lakes and Bigger Camo Trap only matter if you use those specific Powers or want the deeper nodes behind them.

Where it works

This knowledge only matters where both Monkey Knowledge and Powers are allowed. Powers cannot be used in CHIMPS, Races or ranked Boss Events, and challenge creators can disable them. In Contested Territory, MK is only active on regular tiles. Rogue Legends never uses MK.
