BTD6 Update 53 (version 53.0) went live on Steam and the Epic Games Store on 12 February 2026. It was the first major Bloons TD 6 update of 2026, and Ninja Kiwi branded it the New Year Update. There is no new tower or hero this time. Instead you get a new map, a seasonal skin, three Challenge quests and a balance pass that touches 19 towers and three heroes.
The headline additions in one line each: Party Parade is a new Advanced map with two fully separated lanes. Firecracker Gwen is a New Year skin for Gwendolin with sparkly explosion effects. Three new quests arrived: Targeting Monkeys, Support Monkeys Only and ZOMG Rush. And the Druid‘s Jungle’s Bounty was reworked from an income ability into an end-of-round payout with a new attack ability called Vine Crush.
Around that, v53 adds Lunar New Year and Trophy Store cosmetics, lets you use your owned Powers for free in Sandbox, opens every hero pet to every skin of its hero, and gives tower info panels a new performance summary. Two small patches, 53.1 and 53.2, followed within eight days.

New map: Party Parade (Advanced)

Party Parade is set in an urban garden with brick floors and hedges. It has two entrances and two exits, no junctions and no water, so water towers are off the table entirely.
The map is horizontally symmetrical and both paths run at the same time. The left lane enters at the top and leaves at the bottom. The right lane enters at the bottom and leaves at the top. Each lane curves around a large middle section, and a wide wall runs down the centre. That wall blocks both tower placement and line of sight, so nothing you place on one side can see the other lane unless it ignores line of sight.
Each lane is short. Measured in red bloon seconds, a single path is 14.1 on Easy, 12.8 on Medium and 11.3 on Hard. In practice you are defending two short tracks at once, with little room to share one defence across both sides. Default co-op division is vertical, which matches the wall: each player naturally gets a lane.
How to approach Party Parade
The split is what makes the map hard. It is often described as one of the toughest Advanced maps and closer to Expert in practice. Two common answers to split maps struggle here: a Sniper Monkey can only cover one lane, and a Heli Pilot on Pursuit has trouble hitting either lane reliably.
Towers that do well are the ones that either cover a huge area or don’t care about line of sight: Psi, Prince of Darkness, Spirit of the Forest, Carpet of Spikes and the Monkey Ace. Ace works best off the Wingmonkey path here. The map also has a Fireworks seasonal theme and an Odyssey statue.
Quick take: Treat Party Parade as two short maps. Plan a global or no-line-of-sight carry early, because doubling a lane-specific defence costs twice as much on a map this tight.
Firecracker Gwen skin

Firecracker Gwen is the seasonal skin of the update: a New Year take on Gwendolin with sparkly explosion effects on her fire. It is cosmetic only, so Gwendolin’s stats and level-up abilities are unchanged. She still costs $725 on Medium.
The skin pairs with the hero pet change in this update. Pets now work with any skin of their hero, so if you own Gwendolin’s Firefox Pet you can use it on Firecracker Gwen too. More on that below.
New quests: Targeting Monkeys, Support Monkeys Only and ZOMG Rush

Version 53.0 adds three Challenge quests. Here is what each one asks of you.
Targeting Monkeys
The quest text says it plainly: “For this Quest, Monkeys shoot where you aim!” Every tower in it follows your cursor, the way a Dartling Gunner does. This is the effect of the Follow Me Legendary Artifact from Rogue Legends, and the quest even uses the Rogue Legends round set.
| Rule | Setting |
|---|---|
| Unlock | Player level 33 |
| Mode / difficulty | Standard, Hard |
| Rounds | 3 to 35 (Rogue Legends round set) |
| Starting cash | $1,000 |
| Modifiers | Powers disabled, no continues, Fast Track disabled |
| Towers (max 1 each) | Dart Monkey, Boomerang Monkey, Bomb Shooter, Tack Shooter, Dartling Gunner, Super Monkey, Druid, Mermonkey |
| Reward | 500 Monkey Money |
With one of each tower and manual aim, your attention is the real resource. Towers that hit a wide area around the aim point are more forgiving than single-target ones when two groups of bloons are on screen at once.
Support Monkeys Only
The patch notes did not list its full rules, but the name says what it is built around: Support Monkeys. The 53.2 patch fixed the quest showing the wrong Continue cost, so if you saw an odd price there in the first week, that was a bug.
ZOMG Rush
ZOMG Rush is the third Challenge quest of the update. As the name says, it is about ZOMGs, so expect to need solid MOAB-class damage.
Jungle’s Bounty rework: Vine Crush replaces the income ability
The biggest gameplay change in v53 is to the Druid’s middle path. Before 53.0, Jungle’s Bounty (X-4-X) was an activated ability that paid cash and a life each use, plus extra per Banana Farm in range. Now the cash and life arrive automatically at the end of every round, and the ability slot holds a new attack called Vine Crush.
| Jungle’s Bounty (X-4-X) | Before v53.0 | v53.0 |
|---|---|---|
| How income works | Activated ability | Automatic, end of each round |
| Base cash | $320 | $120 |
| Cash per Banana Farm in range | $130 | Unupgraded farm +$10, Tier 1 +$20, Tier 2 +$40, Tier 3 +$60, Tier 4/5 +$120 |
| Lives | 1 per use | 1 per round |
| Cash cap | None | $10,000 per payout |
| Ability | Jungle’s Bounty | Vine Crush |
Vine Crush grabs and crushes 10 bloons instantly, following the Druid’s targeting priority. It has a 30-second cooldown and a 10-second initial cooldown. The vines deal 9,999,999 Sharp damage, so anything they grab is gone, but they cannot hit Camo or MOAB-class bloons.
Spirit of the Forest (X-5-X) got the same treatment. Its ability base cash fell from $1,280 to $120 and moved to end of round. Its own $1,000 end-of-round income is untouched, so a Spirit now pays $1,120 a round before farms. Jungle’s Bounty costs $4,900 and Spirit of the Forest $35,000 on Medium. A small icon on the tower now shows how many farms are in range.
Quick take: Druid income is now passive and predictable. You no longer have to press the ability on cooldown, but even a Tier 4 or Tier 5 farm only adds $120, a little under the old flat $130, and every payout is capped at $10,000.
Balance changes in v53.0
Most of the balance pass targets Tier 5s and paragons. Several paragons got real damage buffs, a few prices went up, and Glue and Ice lost some of their grip on Bosses. All costs below are Medium difficulty.
Dart Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Juggernaut (4-X-0 and up) | Knockback on light bloons -5× → -3× | Nerf |
| Juggernaut 4-0-2 and up | Knockback on light bloons -8× → -5× | Nerf |
| Juggernaut | Projectiles no longer bounce off map borders | Fix |
Juggernaut and its crosspaths now push light bloons back less far than before.
Boomerang Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Turbo Charge (X-4-X) | Attack cooldown 0.238s → 0.15s | Buff |
| Turbo Charge ability | Attack speed bonus 7× → 5× (net still stronger while active) | Change |
| Bionic Boomerang (X-3-X) and up | MOAB bonus damage +2 → +1 | Nerf |
| Perma Charge (X-5-X) | Attack cooldown 0.034s → 0.03s | Buff |
| MOAB Press (X-X-4) | Cost $2,400 → $2,700 | Nerf |
| Glaive Dominus (Paragon) | Cost $250,000 → $375,000 | Nerf |
| Glaive Dominus | Main attack damage 20 → 25 | Buff |
| Glaive Dominus | New ability: Overcharge | Buff |
Turbo Charge is now much stronger outside its ability, since the base cooldown dropped by more than a third. The ability multiplier went down, but the faster base means the tower is still a bit stronger while it is active.
Glaive Dominus is the big story here. Overcharge has a 45-second cooldown at Degree 1 and gives 10 stacks. Each stack cuts attack cooldown by 10% (0.9× multiplier), and one stack falls off every 3 seconds, so a full activation lasts about 30 seconds and starts at +187% attack speed. That power comes with a $125,000 higher price tag.
Bomb Shooter
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Bomb Blitz (X-X-5) | Cost $23,000 → $30,000 | Nerf |
| Bomb Blitz | Ability cooldown 75s → 60s | Buff |
| Ballistic Obliteration Missile Bunker (Paragon) | Main explosion damage 210 → 250 | Buff |
| Bomb Paragon | Main explosion MOAB bonus +2,100 → +2,500; new +2,500 Boss bonus | Buff |
| Bomb Paragon | Cluster explosion MOAB bonus +300 → +1,000; Boss bonus +900 → +1,000 | Buff |
| Bomb Paragon | Secondary cluster MOAB bonus +150 → +500; Boss bonus +450 → +500 | Buff |
| Bomb Paragon | ISABM cooldown reduction when lives are lost 5s → 10s | Buff |
The Bomb Paragon got buffs everywhere, with the biggest gains against MOAB-class bloons and Bosses. Bomb Blitz costs $7,000 more but its ability comes back 15 seconds sooner.
Tack Shooter
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Crucible of Steel and Flame (Paragon) | Meteor Impact explosion damage 50,000 → 60,000 | Buff |
| Crucible of Steel and Flame | Meteor Impact fireball damage 700 → 900 | Buff |
Meteor Impact is the paragon’s 60-second ability that drops a meteor and releases 32 homing fireballs, so both parts of it now hit about 20 to 29% harder.
Ice Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Embrittlement / Super Brittle | Debuff tiers no longer stack; Super Brittle overrides Embrittlement | Nerf |
| Super Brittle (X-5-X) | Ice Shard damage 10 → 5; lifespan 0.08s → 0.16s | Nerf |
| Snowstorm (X-4-X) | Freeze now applied after damage | Change |
| Absolute Zero (X-5-X) | Cost $19,000 → $21,000 | Nerf |
| Absolute Zero | Other Ice Monkeys can now attack bloons it froze | Fix |
| Herald of Everfrost (Paragon) | Main attack cooldown 3s → 4s | Nerf |
| Herald of Everfrost | Ice Lance pierce ∞ → 500 | Nerf |
| Herald of Everfrost | Snowstorm Roar every 4th attack → every 5th | Nerf |
| Herald of Everfrost | Embrittlement bonus +10 → +8; no longer applies to Shatter damage | Nerf |
| Herald of Everfrost | Eclipse of Fimbulwinter skull-skip window 5s → 20s; can now skip the first skull | Buff |
The Ice Paragon, added only one update earlier in v52.0, took a broad nerf to its damage output, but its skull-skip window became four times more forgiving. Embrittlement also broke on BADs in 53.0; patch 53.1 fixed it for BADs and Bosses.
Glue Gunner
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Base and most upgrades (except 2-X-X Corrosive Glue crosspaths) | Main attack can no longer target Boss bloons | Nerf |
| Bloon Liquefier (4-X-X) | Main attack can no longer target Boss bloons | Nerf |
| The Bloon Solver (5-X-X) | Acid Puddle no longer damages Boss bloons | Nerf |
| Glue Splatter (0-2-0) and up | Glue splat no longer affects Boss bloons | Nerf |
None of these were in the official notes. In practice, Glue Gunners are no longer a way to soften Bosses, so leave the slot for something else in Boss events.
Desperado
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Deadeye (X-3-X) | Rifle bonus damage to Fortified bloons +12 → +10 | Nerf |
| Wanderer (X-X-1) and up | Wanderers in range no longer strip each other’s stacks | Buff |
| Enforcer (X-X-3) and up | Shotgun range 28 → 36 | Buff |
| Avenger (X-X-4) | Cost $6,500 → $9,500 | Nerf |
| Avenger | Shotgun MOAB knockback -1× → -0.5× | Nerf |
| The Desert Phantom (X-X-5) | Shotgun MOAB bonus damage +20 → +40 | Buff |
The Desperado‘s bottom path is a mixed bag. Avenger is $3,000 more expensive, but Enforcer and up shoot from much farther away and The Desert Phantom doubles its MOAB bonus. Stacking several Wanderer Desperados no longer costs you stacks.
Sniper Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Deadly Precision (3-X-X) | Cost $2,500 → $2,200 | Buff |
| Deadly Precision and up | Bonus damage to Ceramic bloons +15 → +50 | Buff |
| Maim MOAB (4-X-X) | Cost $6,000 → $6,300 | Nerf |
Deadly Precision now deals more than three times its old bonus to Ceramics, and it costs $300 less. That makes it a much stronger Ceramic answer for a Tier 3.
Monkey Sub
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Submerge and Support (3-X-0) | De-camo pulse cooldown 1.5s → 1.35s | Buff |
| Submerge and Support 3-0-1 / 3-0-2 | De-camo pulse cooldown 1.05s → 0.945s | Buff |
| Bloontonium Reactor (4-X-X) | Cost $2,300 → $2,400 | Nerf |
Monkey Buccaneer
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Destroyer (3-X-X) | Cost $3,050 → $3,350 | Nerf |
| Aircraft Carrier (4-X-X) | Plane missile lifespan 24s → 16.8s | Change |
| Aircraft Carrier | Main attack lifespan 0.6s → 0.7s | Buff |
| Aircraft Carrier 4-0-1 and up | Plane main attack speed 350 → 375; radial 100 → 125; missile 25 → 31.25 | Buff |
| Navarch of the Seas (Paragon) | Cannonball lifespan 0.6s → 0.7s; plane main attack lifespan 0.6667s → 0.7333s | Buff |
The lifespan and speed tweaks let projectiles reach a bit farther. The Buccaneer paragon changes were not in the official notes.
Monkey Ace
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Fighter Plane (3-X-X) and up | Missile lifespan 24s → 16.8s | Change |
| Fighter Plane 3-1-0 and up | Missile explosions now leave an Exploding Pineapple | Fix |
| Ground Zero (X-4-X) | Cost $18,000 → $16,000 | Buff |
Ground Zero is $2,000 cheaper. The Fighter Plane missile lifespan cut (24s to 16.8s) is the same change the Aircraft Carrier’s planes received.
Mortar Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| The Biggest One (5-X-X) | MOAB stun 0.5s → 0.4s | Nerf |
| The Biggest One | BFB and DDT stun 0.3s → 0.2s | Nerf |
| Heavy Shells + Burny Stuff (0-3-2) and up | Burn can now hit Black bloons | Fix |
Super Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| True Sun God (5-X-X) | Attack cooldown 0.06s → 0.05s | Buff |
| Sun Temple Primary sacrifice ($30,501 to $50,000) | Blade Shooter damage 150 → 100 | Nerf |
| Sun Temple Military sacrifice | Golden Spectre bomb 6 → 15; dart 25 → 50 | Buff |
| Sun Temple Military sacrifice | Main attack damage added: $15,001 to $45,000 +1 → +2; $45,001+ +2 → +4 | Buff |
| Sun Temple Military sacrifice | Ballistic Missile cooldown: $10,001 to $20,000 6s → 12s; $20,001 to $45,000 3s → 6s; $45,001+ 1s → 3s | Nerf |
| Sun Temple Support sacrifice | $15,001 to $20,000 and $25,001 to $30,000 tiers swapped (10% discount vs cash per pop + $2,000 end of round) | Change |
| Sun Temple Support sacrifice | $40,001 to $45,000 and $45,001 to $50,000 tiers swapped (20% discount vs 20% attack speed); $5,000 end-of-round bonus kept | Change |
Military sacrifices now add more main-attack damage and much stronger Golden Spectres, but Ballistic Missiles fire half as often or less. If you sacrifice Support towers for the discount, check the new price brackets: the 10% discount now needs $25,001 to $30,000 and the 20% discount needs $45,001 to $50,000.
Alchemist
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Berserker Brew (3-X-X) | Description now says it buffs a nearby Monkey briefly and can buff several at once | Change |
| Alchemist main splash, damage over time and Acid Pools (X-X-2) | Damage type Normal → Acid (Unstable Concoction stays Normal) | Change |
Druid
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Jungle’s Bounty (X-4-X) | Ability replaced by Vine Crush; cash and life now paid at end of round | Change |
| Jungle’s Bounty | Base cash $320 → $120; per farm $130 → +$10 to +$120 by farm tier; $10,000 cap | Nerf |
| Spirit of the Forest (X-5-X) | Same rework; ability base cash $1,280 → $120 (own $1,000 end-of-round income unchanged) | Nerf |
See the Jungle’s Bounty section above for the full breakdown.
Mermonkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Abyssal Warrior (4-0-X) | Tentacle pierce 30 → 25 (4-2-0: 40.5 → 33.75) | Nerf |
| Lord of the Abyss (5-0-X) | Range 28 → 32 | Buff |
| Lord of the Abyss | Tentacle pierce 80 → 50 (5-2-0: 108 → 67.5) | Nerf |
| Riptide Champion (X-3-X) | Cost $1,100 → $1,400 | Nerf |
| Arctic Knight (X-4-X) | Range 35 → 32 | Nerf |
| Popseidon (X-5-X) | Cost $48,000 → $52,000; range 50 → 40 | Nerf |
| Echosense Network (X-X-2) and up | Range per stack +10% → +7.5% (max +100% → +75%) | Nerf |
| Alluring Melody (X-0-3) | Trance pierce 5 → 6 (0-1-3: 7 → 8) | Buff |
| Symphonic Resonance (X-0-4) and up | Trance pierce 10 → 12 (0-1-4 and up: 12 → 14) | Buff |
Mermonkey is the most nerfed tower of the update. Popseidon lost a fifth of its range and costs $4,000 more, Arctic Knight lost range too, and the top path tentacles lost a lot of pierce. Only the bottom path’s trance got stronger.
Spike Factory
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Carpet of Spikes (X-5-X) | Attack cooldown 0.49s → 0.525s | Nerf |
Engineer Monkey
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Master Builder (Paragon) | Power Glove cooldown 90s → 60s | Buff |
| Master Builder | Power Glove duration on towers in zone 60s → 30s | Nerf |
| Master Builder | Power Glove duration on Paragons 25% → 15% (15s → 9s) | Nerf |
Power Glove comes back faster but lasts half as long on towers, so the Engineer paragon’s buff now has more downtime between uses.
Beast Handler
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Giganotosaurus (X-5-X) | Ability stun on blue MOABs 3s → 8s | Buff |
| Giganotosaurus | Main attack damage now soaks through MOAB layers at any Beast Power | Buff |
| Giganotosaurus | Main attack pierce 60 → 44; pierce scaling +90 → +66 (max 150 → 110) | Nerf |
The Beast Handler’s Giganotosaurus trades pierce for better MOAB damage, since its hits now pass through layers without needing full Beast Power.
Heroes
| Upgrade | Change | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Silas (level 1+) | Main attack minimum ricochet range 10 → 1 | Buff |
| Silas (level 13+) | Tier 5 Ice Monkey discount 25% → 15% | Nerf |
| Silas (level 13+) | Extra Tier 5 placement no longer bypasses Challenge rules | Fix |
| Obyn (level 17+) | Main attack Lead bonus +8 → +4; new +4 Fortified bonus | Fix |
| Obyn (level 17 / 18+) | Machine gun Lead bonus +4 → +2 / +8 → +4; new Fortified bonus +2 / +4 | Fix |
| Obyn | Selling and rebuying no longer stacks the Jungle’s Bounty cash buff | Fix |
| Psi (level 3+) | Heartstopper no longer needs a Purple, Regrow or MOAB-class bloon on screen; less lag | Fix |
| Psi (levels 4 to 10) | Psionic Vibrations splash no longer hits Lead before level 6 or Purple before level 11 | Fix |
The Silas discount cut makes Tier 5 Ice Monkeys more expensive with him, on top of the Absolute Zero price rise.
Other new content and quality of life
Advanced Tower Performance panel
Tower info panels have an extra page with a performance summary: pops, damage dealt, cash earned, current value and lives earned. Patch 53.1 made it viewable in Review Mode and for some sub-towers, and certain sub-towers now credit their parent tower. It is the easiest way yet to check whether your farm or Druid is paying for itself.
Hero pets for every skin

No new pets were added, but every existing pet now works with any skin of its hero, and pet descriptions no longer say they are skin-exclusive (Fusty the Snowman Penguin Pet is the one exception). Four pets were renamed to match: Dad of Quincy is now “Quincy, Dad of Quincy” for Quincy, Sentai Churchill Drone is now Churchill Drone for Captain Churchill, Mountain Obyn Balfrog is now Obyn Balfrog, and Joan of Arc Dragon is now Adora Dragon for Adora.
Powers in Sandbox
Any Power you own can now be used for free in Sandbox. That makes testing a Power combo before spending it in a real game a lot simpler.
Lunar New Year and Trophy Store cosmetics
The update adds Lunar New Year cosmetic items and new Trophy Store cosmetics alongside Firecracker Gwen.
Elite Replay and the Black Border
Beating a map’s Elite version now earns a Black Border, and unlocks an Elite Replay version of the map that plays exactly like Elite.
Freeplay cash changes
| Freeplay rounds | Cash per pop before | Cash per pop in v53.0 |
|---|---|---|
| 101 to 120 | 5% | 8% |
| 121 to 140 | 2% | 5% |
| 141+ | 2% | 2% (unchanged) |
The last freeplay income cut now happens 20 rounds later, so long freeplay runs earn noticeably more between rounds 101 and 140.
Acid damage type and Glass Bloons
Acid is now a damage type of its own instead of counting as Normal. Alchemist splash, damage over time and Acid Pools, plus Glue Gunner damage over time from 2-X-X and The Bloon Solver’s direct damage, are Acid. In Frontier Legends, Glass Bloons are now immune to Acid, but no longer immune to Fire, Frigid or projectiles spawned inside their reflection radius. They stay immune to Energy and Plasma.
Frontier Legends and other changes
- Several trait fixes: Feeble matches its description, Phantom’s stamina drain is the stated 25%, Rebound bounces the right number of times, Undertaker’s Zombie Bloons live longer.
- Rocko gained the Primer trait, and Spotter was replaced with Longshot on several subjects.
- Bananite end-of-round amounts changed on Four Circles, Glacial Trail and One Two Tree.
- A 3D Diamondback model on its overworld tiles, and dialogue pop-ups for Sandytown residents and other NPCs.
- A warning appears when you retreat a tower with 0 Stamina.
- Support Chinooks can redeploy towers between tiles of the same category.
- Insta-Monkeys you have not had before show a “New” banner on the rewards screen.
- Co-op end screens have Add Friend buttons.
- Challenges that ban upgrade tiers now also block Insta-Monkeys above those tiers, and Powers Pro no longer count toward the global tower limit rule.
- The planned Frontier Update was moved to v54.
Notable bug fixes
- Paragon degree: Tier 5 sacrifices no longer add their own cost on top of their Tier 5 value. A base Apex Plasma Master with a second Crossbow Master now starts at Degree 11 instead of 22.
- The “What did it cost? – Everything” achievement no longer gets stuck at 96%.
- The Budget Cash Drops Monkey Knowledge works in the main menu again.
- The Insta-Monkey collection shows 1,600 possible towers instead of 1,664.
- Juggernaut projectiles no longer bounce off map borders.
- Burny Stuff burn can now hit Black Bloons.
- Other Ice Monkeys can attack bloons frozen by Absolute Zero.
- Herald of Everfrost’s Eclipse of Fimbulwinter can now skip the first skull.
- Blastapopoulos‘ fireball spawn no longer doubles in Boss Rush.
- Maps now randomize correctly.
- Tower Unlock Packs no longer show as purchased by mistake, and the Log In popup no longer stacks.
- On PC, the FPS cap applies in all cases, and a crash after updating a linked email is fixed.
- Missing animations for items on the Contested Territory team island were added.
- In Frontier Legends, dismissing heroes in a certain order no longer lets you buy the same hero twice.
Patches after v53.0
Version 53.1 (16 February 2026)
53.1 reached Steam on 16 February and Epic on 17 February 2026. It had no balance changes, only fixes:
- Embrittlement (Ice Monkey 4-X-X and Super Brittle) affects BADs and Bosses again.
- Crashes with Deadeye + Wanderer (0-3-1 and up) Desperados when loading a save or using Retry Last Round are fixed.
- Jungle’s Bounty and Spirit of the Forest no longer give zero farm cash or a huge negative cash amount.
- Selling Obyn now removes his Nature’s Wrath income buff from X-4-X and higher Druids.
- The Advanced Tower Performance panel works in Review Mode and for some sub-towers.
- Frontier Legends exclusive bloons become available in Sandbox after you meet them in a campaign.
- Cross-platform co-op joining works between the affected platforms again.
Version 53.2 (20 February 2026)
53.2 arrived on Steam on 20 February 2026 with four more fixes and no balance changes:
- A crash after quitting a Co-op game.
- A crash with rebounding Boomerang Monkey projectiles combined with certain buffs.
- A Frontier Legends crash when viewing another tower’s upgrades while the Sheriff’s were shown.
- The Support Monkeys Only quest showing the wrong Continue cost.
53.2 was the last 53.x patch. The next major update was v54.0.
What Update 53 means for your games
- Rethink Druid farming. Jungle’s Bounty is now hands-off income paid every round, but each farm only adds $10 to $120 depending on its tier and every payout is capped at $10,000. Upgraded farms in range matter more than many cheap ones.
- Try Deadly Precision for Ceramics. It is $300 cheaper and deals +50 to Ceramics instead of +15, which is a large jump for a Tier 3.
- Mermonkey got weaker almost everywhere. Popseidon is $52,000 with 40 range, Riptide Champion is $1,400 and the top path lost tentacle pierce. If Mermonkey was your go-to, test it again before relying on it.
- Paragon priorities shifted. The Bomb and Tack paragons and Glaive Dominus hit harder, while Herald of Everfrost lost damage and Glaive Dominus now costs $375,000. Factor the new prices into when you can afford a paragon.
- Drop Glue from Boss setups. Glue Gunners can no longer target or slow Bosses, so that slot is better spent on damage.
- Plan Party Parade around global coverage. The centre wall blocks line of sight, so pick towers that cover both lanes or don’t need sight.

The Advanced map Party Parade, the Firecracker Gwen skin for Gwendolin, three Challenge quests (Targeting Monkeys, Support Monkeys Only and ZOMG Rush), Lunar New Year and Trophy Store cosmetics, free use of owned Powers in Sandbox, hero pets for every skin and an Advanced Tower Performance panel. It also brought a big balance pass and the Jungle’s Bounty rework.
Did Update 53 add a new tower, hero or paragon?
No. Version 53.0 has no new tower, hero or paragon. The next update, v54.0 on 8 April 2026, added the Druid paragon Root of all Nature.
How hard is Party Parade?
Party Parade is officially an Advanced map, but it plays close to Expert. It has two short lanes that run at the same time, separated by a wall that blocks placement and line of sight, and no water.
What happened to Jungle’s Bounty in v53?
The income ability was replaced by Vine Crush, which instantly crushes 10 non-Camo, non-MOAB bloons every 30 seconds. The cash and life now arrive automatically at the end of each round: $120 base plus $10 to $120 per Banana Farm in range depending on its tier, capped at $10,000.
What was the next update after BTD6 v53?
Version 54.0, released on Steam on 8 April 2026. It added the Druid paragon Root of all Nature, the Advanced map Mushroom Grotto and two new Powers Pro, Hype Boost Monkey and Tech Bot Prime.
