Prince of Darkness

Prince of Darkness turns the Necromancer into a cleanup powerhouse. The main attack fires four times faster (every 0.275 seconds instead of 1.1), the Shimmer aura pulses twice as often (every second) and acquisition range goes from 60 to 80. The graveyard changes too:

• Capacity rises from 500 to 3,000 units.
• It can now send Undead MOABs (40 damage, 20 pierce, costs 20 units) and Undead BFBs (100 damage, 50 pierce, costs 50 units). BFBs are prioritised once the graveyard has at least 2,100 units.
• Every 300 graveyard units add 1 damage to all attacks, up to +10 at 3,000 units.

It also gives +3 damage to the Undead Bloons of every Necromancer on the map, including itself.

When to buy it

Prince of Darkness costs $26,500 on Medium. It excels as cleanup on maps where lanes share an exit or alternate, as long as the graveyard stays high. Its fast Shimmer and large range make it a reliable DDT decamo, and it stands out on non-fortified DDT rounds, especially round 95 in CHIMPS.

It struggles with hyperdense rounds like round 98 and against single targets, so pair it with strong single-target damage.

Crosspath: 0-2-5 is preferred, since Fireball and Wall of Fire also get the graveyard bonus, dealing much more damage than 2-0-5. Use 1-0-5 or 2-0-5 on maps where obstacles block the middle-path attacks, such as Flooded Valley.

In races and Time Attack, it is great for spawn-camping bloons near the entrance.

Is it worth it?

Yes, as an affordable late-game cleanup and decamo tower. Compared with Archmage, it is much better at cleanup and worse against blimps. Compared with Wizard Lord Phoenix, it is cheaper and more consistent.
