How to use Arcane Mastery

Arcane Mastery is a big jump in power. The Wizard gets 50% more range (40 to 60), and its bolt attack fires twice as fast (every 0.55 seconds instead of 1.1), gains 4 pierce (3 to 7), deals 3 damage and lasts 75% longer. With Fireball, fireballs last 75% longer and their explosions gain 4 pierce (15 to 19).

When to buy it

Arcane Mastery is an excellent early-game carry at $1,450 on Medium. Its homing bolts, good range and solid damage handle most non-blimp bloons, and it works on most maps, including ones with several lanes at once.

Crosspaths:

  • 3-0-2: recommended. Intense Magic adds pierce, Monkey Sense adds range and camo detection, which makes it a great cleanup tower.
  • 3-2-0: adds Fireball and Wall of Fire for more group damage, but without camo.

Is it worth it?

Yes. It is one of the best early-game buys on the Wizard and leads into Arcane Spike and Archmage. It struggles with blimps until tier 4.

Frequently asked questions
