How to use Summon Phoenix

Summon Phoenix adds an ability that calls a phoenix for 20 seconds. The phoenix circles the center of the screen with unlimited range, ignores line of sight and breathes fire for 5 damage with 8 pierce every 0.1 seconds. Fire cannot pop purple bloons. The ability has a 45-second cooldown and a 15-second initial cooldown.

The Wizard also fires two Dragon's Breath flames per shot instead of one, which helps a lot against single targets such as MOABs and BFBs.

Crosspaths add phoenix bonuses: Guided Magic gives the phoenix flames light seeking, and Monkey Sense lets the phoenix pop camo bloons.

When to buy it

At $6,000 on Medium, Summon Phoenix is a mid-game save-up that carries most non-purple rounds until round 63, where the phoenix can only partly handle the waves. Use the Wizard to hold blimps and save the phoenix for big waves of regular bloons that need global cleanup.

Crosspaths: 0-4-2 for camo and pierce on every attack, or 1-4-0 for seeking flames and better wall uptime.

Is it worth it?

Good mid-game value and the step to Wizard Lord Phoenix. Both attacks fall off in the late game, where it mostly adds extra single-target damage.
