How to use Intense Magic
Intense Magic adds 5 pierce to the Wizard's magic bolts and doubles their projectile speed, which also doubles how far they travel. It improves the fire attacks too:
- Fireball: explosions gain 5 pierce.
- Wall of Fire: each tick hits 5 more bloons.
- Dragon's Breath: flames gain 2 pierce and double speed and distance, including on Archmage.
When to buy it
Intense Magic gives more pierce for the money than placing several plain Wizards, and it is the standard pierce crosspath for upgraded Wizards:
- Middle path (0-2-1, 0-3-2, 0-4-2): better reliability against groups, and the way to Monkey Sense for camo and range.
- Top path (3-0-2, 4-0-2, 5-0-1): more pierce on the homing bolts.
On a solo Wall of Fire, Intense Magic is a strong pick for the extra pierce, while Guided Magic is better for full uptime.
Is it worth it?
Yes. At $300 on Medium it is one of the best value crosspaths on the Wizard, and the first step toward Necromancer and Prince of Darkness.
