How to use Mega Massive Munitions Factory
The Mega Massive Munitions Factory (often shortened to MMMF or Mega Munitions) is the Spike Factory's Paragon. It combines Super Mines, Carpet of Spikes and Perma-Spike into one tower. It drops giant spiked mines that can last up to 5 rounds and burst into 10 smaller spike piles when they explode, and it keeps a permanent carpet of spikes on the track that damages every Bloon passing over it. It uses the same targeting options as Smart Spikes, including Set Target.
It has two activated abilities:
- Controlled Burst: quadruples the main attack speed for 15 seconds, usable once per round, a supercharged version of the Smart Spikes boost.
- Spikeageddon: launches powerful mines at roughly even spacing along every path. They explode on contact for massive damage and release smaller spike piles. Activating it again while mines are still out detonates them instead of placing new ones. The number of mines depends on track length and number of paths.
How to unlock and build it
Like all Paragons, it needs the Paragon upgrade unlocked with Spike Factory XP, plus three tier 5 Spike Factories on the map at the same time: one Super Mines, one Carpet of Spikes and one Perma-Spike. Select any of them and buy the Paragon. It costs $750,000 on Medium; the page lists the price for every difficulty. Paragon prices cannot be discounted, and only one MMMF can exist at a time.
When you buy it, every other Spike Factory on the map is absorbed into it.
Degree and how to raise it
Every Paragon has a degree from 1 to 100 that scales its damage, pierce, attack speed and ability cooldowns. Degree is based on the Paragon power of what it absorbs:
- Cash spent on absorbed Spike Factories, plus extra cash you add with the slider when buying (the slider is slightly less efficient).
- Extra tier 5 Spike Factories beyond the first three.
- Damage dealt and income earned by the absorbed towers.
- Paragon Power Totems, which add power with no cap.
High degree matters more for MMMF than for most Paragons, because every 10 degrees it also gains flat pierce, and each spike hits very hard. To build pops before merging, let your Super Mines, Carpet of Spikes and Perma-Spike do most of the popping, and point your Spike Factories at the map entrances so other towers do not steal the damage.
When to buy it
MMMF needs time to stockpile mines and charge Spikeageddon, so buy it in advance of the round you need it for.
- In Boss Events, build it a few rounds before the boss so it has a full stockpile when the boss arrives.
- In Freeplay, place it near the back. A full pile of mines can tank even fortified BADs in later rounds.
- Use Set Target to keep the mines in one region, which builds a much denser stockpile than the other targeting modes.
Save Spikeageddon for the moment a boss or a dangerous blimp group enters the field.
Best uses
- Timed Boss Events: probably its best mode. A stockpile plus Spikeageddon can deal enormous damage in a short time.
- Bloonarius: its best boss matchup, since the boss walks straight into the stockpile.
- Freeplay: on long maps such as Logs, a fully buffed MMMF is among the highest damage towers in the game.
Weak matchups: Vortex, which can wipe stockpiles consistently, and Phayze. It is also more placement-dependent than Goliath Doomship, so plan where your mines will sit.
Pair it with the Master Builder's Power Glove or other Paragon support for an even faster main attack.
Is it worth it?
Yes, if you can give it time and a decent degree. When it is allowed to stockpile, it is one of the strongest Paragons in the game, and it is the standout pick for timed boss runs. If you need instant damage with no setup, other Paragons are easier to use.
Frequently asked questions
How do you get the Spike Factory Paragon?
Unlock it with Spike Factory XP, then have a Super Mines, a Carpet of Spikes and a Perma-Spike on the map at once and buy the Paragon on one of them.
How much does the Mega Massive Munitions Factory cost?
$750,000 on Medium. All difficulty prices are shown on this page.
What does Spikeageddon do?
It drops large mines along every path that explode on contact and release spike piles. Using it again while mines remain detonates them.
